Holding a Doctorate in Flute Performance and Pedagogy and actively playing as principal flutist with the Denver Philharmonic Orchestra, I would love to share my wealth of knowledge and experience with you! I have been teaching flute from beginners to college music majors, ages 4 through adult, for the past 15 years and am passionate about making lessons engaging, fun, and effective. Ethan Santos is a Filipino-American multi-instrumentalist graduate of Berklee College of Music and current master's student at University of Southern California. Influenced by the sounds of Jazz, R&B and Hip Hop, he has performed his music at events such as the Monterey Next Generation Jazz Festival, Salem Jazz and Soul Festival and San Joaquin Valley Jazz Festival. Ethan is also an avid sideman who’s translated his craft on trombone to a wide array of musical environments; these musical acts include performing with/alongside the likes of Ralph Peterson (DC Jazz Festival/Scullers Jazz Club), Big Red Machine (Boston Calling) and The Berklee Silent Film Orchestra (San Francisco Silent Film Festival).
Lessons are available for trombone, bass trombone, music theory/harmony, improvisation, composition, arranging, transcription, and basic recording/producing.
