"I have played the piano in my younger years, and not playing it for a long time made me forget on how to read music sheets. It actually made me forget how awesome and fun it is to play the piano. And after a while, I decided I needed to get back on track. So, I checked out the list of instructors close to my home, and I found Andy. And yes, I made the right decision! HE IS THE BEST!!! I was so happy having him to teach and help me read music sheets and to play the piano again. He is funny and awesome! He makes it fun and easy for me to understand the lesson! He gives you pointers and he knows how to boost my self-esteem! I love the claps! <clap clap clap>. I cannot wait to do a gazillion more lessons with him! If you want to learn and have fun learning the piano, he is the one for you! Cheers to Andy! :)"

"Shortly after my 37th birthday, I decided I wanted to learn to play piano. Although I hadn't touched a musical instrument in over 20 years and forgotten a vast majority of what I had learned as a child, Ruth was there to coach me through the process. She's incredibly knowledgeable about music, shown flexibility when I've had scheduling conflicts, and genuinely cares about my progress. She's been instrumental (pun intended!) in my musical journey and I can't say enough great things about her. Thank you, Ruth!"

Teaching Piano in Elk Grove: The Gift of Music

By Kecia T.-Elk Grove Piano Teacher

Not everyone plays a musical instrument. Yet, many of us wish we did. It’s not until we become adults that we regret not learning an instrument or being able to play music. So when you make the decision as a parent to offer music lessons to your child, remember that you are giving them a gift that will last a lifetime.

I am the mother of two boys and I teach piano in Elk Grove, CA. I specialize in teaching beginning piano and the majority of my students are children, ages 6-10. I love working with kids in a variety of after school programs. With my patience and enthusiasm, I know just how to guide your child on their musical journey, and encourage them to learn. As a piano teacher, being able to teach your child is a wonderful gift to me.

When I was a young piano student I wasn’t properly trained. As a result, I had to relearn some basic music concepts. When I began teaching piano, I vowed that I would teach the proper techniques and concepts correctly to all my students, so they would not have to go through what I went through. This is truly where my passion thrives! Our children give us many gifts throughout their childhood. The gift of music is a gift that keeps on giving. It’s a great time to learn piano in Elk Grove, CA!
