Learn to move through vocal exercises with ease while crafting your voice, tone, and style. But most importantly, learn to take your voice and turn it into SONG. Singing songs is where most of my training has come from and I’m a firm believer that singing the tunes you love will teach your voice how best to interpret notes, follow intervals, explore dynamics, and gain control. Don’t just sing, PERFORM.

Michelle is a great teacher. She is patient, kind, and enthusiastic about music. My child loves going to class and hates missing a class (only when she's sick). She makes learning music fun but it also firm if the child doesn't meet the expectation. It's been a year since we started lessons and we couldn't be more happier.

Michelle has been very good at keeping my 8 year old engaged and interested in learning to read music. We are looking forward to many more lessons.

I've learned so much about songwriting with Melaena and can't recommend her highly enough! I've had some really important break throughs from our sessions and I always leave feeling inspired and excited about music.

Melaena was great with my 7 year old. Made her feel comfortable and able to open up with ideas and suggestions. She mediated the class well and allowed for all participants’ voices to be heard. Had an amazing end result each class. True treasures we’ll cherish forever.
Thanks for everything Melaena!

My grandson is taking piano lessons from Rosalind H. At first I was wondering about the interaction because he's shy; but he looks forward to his lessons and practices diligently. "I'll get right to the point. Paul's personality made it extremely easy for me not only to be comfortable but to feel really appreciated. I was fearful that Paul may feel like, "oh great another person who THINKS he has something but can't sing a lick!" I experienced the exact opposite. Within 15 minutes he located what has been my most frustrating issue. I felt like I was already ahead of the game and we hadn't even started yet! Paul has the rare balance of a sense of humor and still following an agenda to meet my goal. Thanks to Paul I really feel like I can, and WILL reach all my goals. AND enjoy the journey to them!! "My 11 year old daughter has been working with Jennifer for a little over one year. Isabela, not only is learning to control her voice but how to read the music for the cues on how to sing the song (tempo, inflection, etc). Jennifer's structure of working on one technical piece and one piece that the student is interested in keeps my daughter learning and happy to attend lessons. Jennifer is also extremely patient with my daughter, who is a curious child and likes to drift her attention. We look forward to working with Jennifer for along time."

Female guitarists rock just as hard, if not harder than some men, yet the things people say to us sound like they're straight from the 1950s! What Does it Mean if a Singer is Classically Trained?
