I try to teach the way that I play and write, with curiosity and compassion. In lessons with me, you'll receive a personally curated curriculum, designed around your own (or your parents') goals, and the kind of music you want to make. I also implement listening and creation segments in my lessons, where I will ask you to bring music you're actively listening to, and push you to write music that you think represents you. I aim to approach learning holistically, but also in a way that will get you excited about learning how to play.

My teaching is queer-friendly, and I seek to create an environment that is comfortable for all genders and sexualities. I am trying to unlearn white-centered teaching practices, and decolonized the way I teach and understand music. If you're willing to learn with me, and be in a space that works to be inclusive toward even the most marginalized, send me a message! Let's make music together.

About Samson

Hi, I'm Sam, I use they/them pronouns, and I've been playing piano and singing for 15+ years. I've been apart of several different ensembles, and am currently finishing up my Bachelor of Music in Composition at the University of Idaho. I've attended renowned conferences and institutions from plac

My gifted son needs challenging and stimulating activities to help him balance all of his feelings. I was extremely hesitant with signing him up because he is only 4. However he instantly connected with Landon and said he has a fantastic time. I absolutely love how Landon has a gift to communicate music without watering down terminology but slowly speaking so that children can understand. He truly has a gift. We look forward to the next one.

Tom will work to understand what your goals are and then will tailor his lessons so you accomplish them.
