Born and raised in Honolulu, Hawaii, I am fortunate to have had an exceptional academic foundation. I attended Punahou School K-12 earning high marks and went on to graduate college from the University of California, Berkeley. I have a variety of expertise and tutoring experience in these subjects:

- Computer Programming
- Math
- Chinese
- Humanities
- SAT

Outside of school, I have also always been an artist and hobbyist, heavily investing myself in various forms of creative expression including:

- Dance (hip-hop/urban)
- Photography (DSLR, Lightroom/Photoshop)
- Card magic/Card flourishes (look it up :P)

Over the years, I have found that my enthusiasm for both people
and learning different things greatly enriches my life and those around me. If you're looking for someone who can introduce you to a variety of subjects, I'm your guy. I love learning about anything and everything and hope to encourage others to explore their passions. Furthermore, though my interests are many and varied, I have also committed years into training, have a solid grasp on their principles, and can confidently say that I am a qualified expert. I look forward to meeting you and helping you learn with me!

Experienced Computer Software Engineer of 10 years available for eager students of all experience levels and ages! I structure my lessons so students learn what they want to learn, while also building a strong foundation of computer programming skills. I specialize in automation and web based tools, typically use a array of] books (But for C# would focus on wrox series), we will be using visual studio on windows or Visual Studio code on Mac or Linux with the later focusing on .net core.

About Michael
I am a software developer passionate about .net and other backend and front end type of technologies. I am also passionate about CI/CD and more then willing to help newbies get a lay of the ground when it comes to computer programming.

I have taught students how to think like a computer programmer. I have taught adults and some children how to use and think like a computer in addition how to problem solve. I am pretty laid back, when it comes to teaching and love questions, but I can provide some jump off points and literature that might be of use.

I have worked for large companies that are fast paced and mentored many individuals. I have about 12 years of professional development experience and about 20 years using Microsoft based technologies, but I am also pretty familiar with Linux and MacOS types of systems. I have worked o

My passion all of my academic life has been computer programming. Ever since I took AP computer science my junior year of college, I knew this was going to be my career. I enjoyed it so much that I became a teacher's assistant for the very same class the very next year. I then went on to tutor many students, and took this skill all the way to college. I understand how different people learn because I have worked with many people with many different learning patterns. I enjoy knowing i can teach something that I have such a passion for.

About Viktor
I've been there: cramming for the next test, not understanding something no matter how much I study it, at times it seems hopeless. I now understand how having an effective and experienced tutor can be the key to having an approach to schooling that is both effective and satisfying for both the student and parent. I've been through it, I understand it, and now with the knowledge I have gained I have been helping people achieve their academic goals in a fun and painless way.

I have been teaching professionally for 22 years. I have a specific style of teaching computer programming--it's whatever method works best for your learning style!! Besides learning computer programming, I will teach you the tools you need to make sure you have all the tools you need to be the programmer you would like to be! Today's computer programmers are expected to know the importance of usability for your audience, search engine optimization and how to create graphics and more. You will learn why things and what are your best reference tools to turn to if you ever need them! I make it fun and accessible to learn--as it should be. Humor is a great enabler to unlock your greatest computer programming. Anyone can teach and anyone can learn, but when you connect with your teacher who shares your goals and objectives it is a whole new level of what you can do.

As a senior, I wanted to earn some extra income learning a useful skill I could do from home. I hired Zack and he came to my home and taught my computer programming. He showed me the proper way to "code" and now I am able to list my services online as a freelancer to earn extra income from what I learned in my classes with Zack. He is a great resource and makes himself available for questions should I have any.

I am a programmer analyst. I have an IT sole proprietary business that deals with the design of computer software including programming analysis, databases, and data analysis. Link applies mathematical modeling that relates to computer software. This includes One-Dimensional Databases; Multi-Dimensional Databases; MS Works; MS Access, DataStage; Data Science; Data Structuring; Data Management; Data Compression; Data Arranging; Data Search; Extracting Data; Big Data; Spatial Data, Data Integrity; Data Anomaly; Utilizing SQL in Data Science; Data Correction; Applications of the Theory of Probability to Data; Bayesian Data Analysis; Application of Monty Hall Paradox to Raw Data; Data Storage; Data Control; Blocking Bad Data; Importing & Exporting Data; Creating Live Data; Complex Data Problems; Mutually Inclusive & Mutually Exclusive Data; Data Wrangling; Data Pattern Identification; Descriptive & Predictive Data; Data Security; Data Visualization; Structured & Unstructured & ...

About AHMED
I do not see teaching as simply repeating what has been already detailed in text books and lectures. Everyone’s mind is different and thus everyone has a unique perception to understanding one issue or another. Things are better illustrated with an example.

A while back, there was a television show hosted by a T.V. personality named Monty Hall. In the show, Monty presented a contestant with 3 closed doors. Behind one door was a new car. And behind each of the other two doors was a goat. The contestant had the option to choose one door so as to win the new car.

The probability that a car was behind door 1 or door 2 or door 3 was the same, about 33.33%. Let us say that the contestant picked door 1. Monty would then open one of the other two doors that were not chosen by the contestant. There were 3 terms in the game: 1) Monty knew what w
as behind each door; 2) Monty cannot open the door that was already chosen by the contestant; 3) Monty would only open a door that hides a goat.

Let us say Monty opened door 3 revealing a goat. Monty then asked the contestant if the contestant would like to switch to door 2 or keep his original choice of door 1. Contestants would be bewildered not knowing really what to do. Was it better to keep the originally choice or was it better to switch or it would make no difference whether to keep the original choice or switch?

Meet Marilyn vos Savant. Marilyn wrote a column called “Ask Marilyn” in a newspaper called Parade. Marilyn was known for having one of the highest recorded IQ. A reader sent Marilyn a letter asking her if it was better to switch or not to switch. Marilyn stated in her column that a contestant should switch since switching doubled the contestant’s chances of winning. Many of Marilyn’s readers erupted in protest including readers with Ph.D., mathematicians, and academicians. Most people believed that the probability that a car was behind door 1 or door 2 was the same of 50%.

This became known as The Monty Hall Problem or The Monty Hall Paradox. Articles and books were written over this problem. Actually Marilyn was right and this was proven using computer simulation. Yet until today many people cannot understand that switching doubles the chances of winning.

At first glance this paradox might seem irrelevant to teaching. But I think it does. This paradox tutor the mind in the subject of structured thinking which is very important in learning.

Although I am a statistics major, programming is a big part of my curriculum as my concentration within statistics is computer science/machine learning. I've taken more than my fair share of Computer science courses at Carnegie Mellon University and even my statistics assignments often require heavy programming. My current job is as the sole web developer for a growing company and this includes front and back end development as well as database management.

About James
I am a student at Carnegie Mellon University and have been teaching or tutoring for close to a decade now. This includes paid and volunteer private tutoring, classroom teaching, teaching assistant, and even a summer camp for elementary and middle-school students to learn computer science and programming skills. I also competed in math club during high school and was particularly successful in my senior year competing in statistics (6th place in the individual Nationals statistics event).

Whether you want to catch up with your current math course, get ahead and learn more advanced math, or aiming to ace your SAT/ACT I'd be happy to help. What I enjoy most is to have a friendly, peer relationship with students rather than being seen as just a tutor so you can expect to have fun while learning. However, what is most important to me is not l
earning how to solve problems or getting high grades but rather knowing that my students UNDERSTAND the problems and solutions without simply memorizing. And you can take that as my personal guarantee.

Some might call me a "math nerd" (to which I take absolutely no offense) but I have other interests as well. Most recently I've taken up golf but I love playing any sport with friends. I also watch nature documentaries and comedies. And of course I also love videogames (Overwatch, COD, FIFA) as well as boardgames. To some parents these might seem like useless facts but as an experienced teacher I can tell you that connecting with students on unrelated topics has an invaluable effect on the student-teacher relationship and will make for a smoother, unfiltered learning atmosphere. Not to mention it's much more exciting to refer to a sports analogy for a word problem rather than the unrelatable problems people are unfortunately used to ("person A buys x ft of fence...").
