Hello!

My name is Jeanne and I just completed a post-graduate diploma in piano performance at the San Francisco Conservatory of Music. Before that, I graduated from the Conservatoire National Supérieur de Musique de Paris, then pursued my Master's degree at the University of Montreal. Additionally, I earn a Master's degree in French Literature.

I am an active pianist, chamber musician and teacher. I have played dozens of concerts in Europe, North America and Asia and I have participated and won several prizes in international and national piano competitions. I am the founder of the Ensemble Benzaiten, with whom I record an album dedicated to Franz Schubert.

I play the piano since 22 years and have been teaching piano and chamber music for 10+. I have taught to children, teenagers and adults and I am offering piano lessons to beginners, intermediate and advanced musicians. I particularly love sharing my love for music and help musicians to achieve their goals with a very positive

I began classical piano instruction in 1960 and took private lessons for ten years before branching out into all the other styles of music. I have taught, recorded and performed professionally since 1978, and will show you proper hand and finger technique, music theory, how to read notation and chord charts/symbols, and equally as important teach you how to play by ear. I teach all ages, all styles and all levels of piano, and will teach you how to have fun with it all along the way!

I have been teaching piano for over 22 years to ages 4-90 at all levels from beginner to advanced. I teach the importance of mastery at each level, so that the student understands what it takes to play and perform at her/his best.

I structure my lessons so students learn what they want to learn, while also building a strong foundation in their playing skills. I specialize in teaching as early as 3 yrs old, I typically use different methods of teaching, no specific curriculum, it depends on students' personality, cognitive development, age level. I use online piano games & teaching tools to help students develop the habit of practicing with more fun.

I do recitals at least twice a year, & that includes Community Recitals, Students participates to different programs & festivals sponsored by CAPMT District 1, National Federation of Music Clubs & Music Development Program by Royal Conservatory of Music to assess their knowledge, skills & abilities.
