Acrylic Painting Lessons in Luke Air Force Base. Amazing Teachers.

The lessons will be based on the skill level of the student. We will paint from observation as well as from photographs. Art History will be incorporated and we will study the paintings of the masters. In the students paintings, focus will be on perspective, color, composition, and accuracy in proportions.

I hold a BFA in art/education and with 5+ years teaching all ages in painting (acrylic, oils, watercolor), printmaking, ceramics, and metalsmithing. I continue working out of my studio and sell my work online. I (along with my team of artists) won the Chronicle Award for Best Mural in Austin for the mural Le Bonheur Le Vivre on 24th St. & Guadalupe. I look forward to teaching you all about art!

The most fabulous thing about being an artist is that boundaries regarding creativity are non-existent. The artist is always in a state of learning. Art is a progressive practice that takes time to develop.

Students will be introduced to the color wheel, basic materials needed, perspective, and the differences between realistic and impressionistic painting techniques. Materials are not included.

Acrylic painting lessons will be assessed based on the individual's current abilities and their goals.

Acrylic Painting classes will teach you how to paint images with different techniques.
1 - I will help you learn how to paint with acrylics on canvas.
2 - You will learn your style of how you want to paint by trying different techniques .
3 - You will about having fun, relaxing and enjoying the art of painting and developing your skills.
This class is available April through November.

There is a complexity in the teaching of art that includes giving students the knowledge of different techniques in art, as well as teaching the process of creating, and the process of finding their own way in painting. Teaching art, for me, is not only a pleasure, but also a wonderful way to exchange my personal vision of life with my students.
I have 15 years of teaching experience in my studio and high education levels. I am a working artist myself and know the steps my students could take to study painting and express themselves in Art. The students will learn the elemental composition, color theory, use of brushes, different techniques, and movement in painting.
I teach beginners to intermediate artist in my studio and online.

As my student you will learn very important basic to intermediate foundation knowledge of the painting process. This involves Color theory, canvas preparations (wood, Canvas and other substrate choices), Brush selections, Mediums and thinning, Paint storage and reusing. We will work on transferring ideas from still life or sketch to canvas. We will cover brush stroke effects, blending, highlighting and work processes for an efficient and most importantly fun workflow.
