Sheldon Vexler Theatre, Boerne Community Theatre, Cameo Theatre, and the Woodlawn Theatre are among the most well-known in town. For those of you with a few years of experience under your belt, check out the Tobin Center for the Performing Arts, where they open operas, ballets, musicals, concerts, and plays cast from a vast array of local talent. A great way to learn Broadway-style singing is to work through a specific show, identifying certain vocal colors, styles, and timbre, connecting the voice to the action of the piece. Ranging from the outdoor hipster bars to the chic and elegant concert halls, we have one of everything. One of the most well-known places featuring local talent in the city is Sam’s Burger Joint. After it was voted Best Live Music Venue in 2010, Sam’s renovated their already amazing setup, and has become, in my opinion, one of the best music venues in the country.
