I’m recent college graduate with a BS in Music Education, and have experience teaching kids and young adults. I specialize in classical and opera style but enjoy singing pop and musical theater as well! I am a young adult, so I am well suited to teach young students! I know what kind of music they want to learn and I know how to teach them to sing it correctly. However, I am always up to a new challenge, so all ages are welcome! The most important thing to me is that the students have fun during the lesson, but they also utilize proper technique in order not to hurt themselves. My lessons will include warm ups and technique practice, as well as the practice of music assigned. The music assigned will come from a variety of different styles, and the students will be allowed to choose some of it for themselves. I want to help you sing beautifully!

I work with beginners to advance singers. I love to focus on my clients Uniqueness. Every voice is different and I like to help support those qualities by giving them the tools they need to make their voice flourish. I like to incorporate more modern styles of music in my curriculum, with the emphasis on posture, muscle relaxation and breathing technique among other benefiting vocal exercises!
I also work on Artist Development with singers & songwriters who are wanting to pursue a music career as an Artist. With Artist Development, I focus more on the development of the clients vocal image and help them pin point their Artist niche.

Jesaiah is AMAZING! She always stays long enough to answer all of my questions. She remembers what you're interested in and implements it in her teaching. She always takes the time to find exercises that fit me, sends me informational links and notes from our class. She will pull you up with herself. And she is the nicest and she just has a lot of positivity! I did a lot of research before starting and if I go back, I'd 100% choose to take singing classes with her, again! Oh and she's a WONDERFUL singer!!
Jesse
Wow! Jesaiah is great. I have been her student since the first of the year and have learned so much and she makes learning fun. She's even recommended some producers to help me with my original song.

My first lesson with Zach was great! 5 stars. He asked the right questions as to what aI am looking to do. And we quickly came up with a lesson plan that with the right amount of work in my part will get me headed in the right direction. Zach does a great job of making his students feel comfortable and good about their abilities.

"Francesca knows her stuff. I was trained classically in the bel canto classical style when young, and now am doing "commercial" hard rock - but never had that type of training, and want to maintain my singing health with whatever I'm singing. In just a few fun lessons, I've already gotten so much value from working with Francesca. Her ear is tremendous. She goes over the "what" of singing as well as the "how", and makes it easy to learn for anyone who has the "why" (ie, the passion to sing, no matter what style). I've never met a voice teacher that can so effortlessly and willingly transition with me in styles and technique, from opera to Iron Maiden! I'm stoked to be working with Francesca and you will be too!"

"Erin is just wonderful--helpful, supportive, and fun!

I came to Erin after several years away from singing, and she got me right back up to speed quickly and completely--better than ever, in fact!

We've worked on pieces that I've always wanted to work on, but she has also exposed me to all kinds of music that I hadn't known, and each piece has been exciting, challenging, and rewarding to sing.

Erin has always been completely reliable and professional, and an expert communicator. The few times she's ever given me feedback or instructions that I didn't understand immediately, she was able to communicate the idea in another way, and she's always completely open to questions. She's really just completely comfortable to talk to. Even when I struggled in her lessons from time to time, I never once felt frustrated or discouraged, and always came out on top.

Working with Erin, my technique, artistry, and confidence have all soared, and each lesson has been a joy. Erin is as knowledgeable as she is talented, and simply a delightful human being.

I'd give her three thumbs up if I had an extra hand!"

"I've had a few singing teachers before and let me just say it was always mediocre. It was all fundamentals and straight to techniques. With toni it was so much fun and very simple. She makes sure that I don't feel like I'm being tested or points out my flaws but rather my strength which makes me feel even more motivated to sing. She's an amazing instructor I recommend her to anyone who wants to have fun learning rather than feeling like they're in a class. She's passionate, kind and she is an amazing teacher. Take her"

Singing in San Antonio: How to Get Started

by Joshua M. - San Antonio singing teacher (https://takelessons.com/profile/joshua-m50)

Interested in taking singing lessons in San Antonio? San Antonio has one of the most culturally diverse music scenes in the country. Visiting one of the many music venues, festivals, Broadway shows, regional/community theaters, or open mic nights will give you an overwhelming view of what the city has to offer. Situated just south of the “live music capitol of the world,” Austin, TX, San Antonio is sure to have a plethora of opportunity to make that newfound voice heard!

Here are a few resources to check out as you’re taking singing lessons in San Antonio:

Perform:

Open Mic Nights - As the 7th largest city by population in America, San Antonio has plenty of amateur mic nights hosted all throughout the city, on every night of the week. Getting up and playing an original or cover song for a few friends (or a few hundred) is a great way to be heard and hone your performance skills. This is a great opportunity to put your ongoing training to the test. Stay informed and book your time on openmicsanantonio.com.

Audition - San Antonio is rich with a thriving community musical theatre infrastructure. Take advantage of upcoming auditions, and take your Broadway singing to a deeper, more specific level. Sheldon Vexler Theatre, Boerne Community Theatre, Cameo Theatre, and the Woodlawn Theatre are among the most well-known in town. For those of you with a few years of experience under your belt, check out the Tobin Center for the Performing Arts, where they open operas, ballets, musicals, concerts, and plays cast from a vast array of local talent. A great way to learn Broadway-style singing is to work through a specific show, identifying certain vocal colors, styles, and timbre, connecting the voice to the action of the piece. Stay informed of upcoming auditions through SATHEATRE (satheatre.com/eauditions).

Watch

Another great way to learn about singing and performing in general is to take in a concert. San Antonio is very rich with live music event venues. Ranging from the outdoor hipster bars to the chic and elegant concert halls, we have one of everything. One of the most well-known places featuring local talent in the city is Sam’s Burger Joint. After it was voted Best Live Music Venue in 2010, Sam’s renovated their already amazing setup, and has become, in my opinion, one of the best music venues in the country. They host shows up to five times a week, and it is a great way to meet other musicians growing in the same way you are. Check out their up-and-coming acts on samsburgerjoint.com.

Come and join one of the fastest-growing music cities in the country! Perform at the old stomping grounds of Christopher Cross, Ernest Tubb, and George Strait. Become part of the scene that so many songs are written about. Taking singing lessons in San Antonio is only the first step -- the next is to share your ongoing cultivation with a city who loves and survives on music!
