After obtaining a bachelors in Fashion Design from the University of Rhode Island and Masters of Fine Arts in Fashion Design from the Academy of Arts University, I have worked for over 10 years as a design/sewing instructor, fashion designer, fashion illustrator, garment pattern maker, and technical designer. I've taught children, teenagers and adults how to create garments from conception to a three dimensional product. My tutoring strategy is to encourage students to embrace their creativity and confidently express themselves through design. Creativity development may include pulling inspiration from nature, pop culture, society, world culture and inner self. Lessons plans are modified according to each student wants and needs. The lessons are designed to create an interactive and fun learning platform in which students can successfully achieve their goals.
