Crocheting with Sankofa R.

I'm a bright, colorful, out-of-the-box fabric artist born and residing in the Bronx. It was the funky, fly, cool styles of crocheted clothing that I saw worn by my artistic peers who inspired myself to pick up a ball of yarn and hook to make my own magic and be able to proudly say I created what I'm wearing. When I began crocheting, it was not only a wonderful creative outlet but an amazing stress reliever and mental/spiritual healing remedy. I take my passions and share the joy through the art of teaching them to support others to find their magic, peace and creativity. I also use this healing art to create community as a student midwife.
