Do you want to take your pictures to the next level? I will help you make your pictures even more stunning using Adobe Lightroom. By the end of the course you will be able to:

* organize your photos using catalogs, collections, attributes, etc
* import your photos into LR in a way that reduces stress downstream
* utilize the Develop Module to create the stunning image you visualize
* use the export function to get your image in the format you need
* implement best practices to streamline your entire workflow
* and much more!

I'm flexible, patient and able to adapt to your needs. We can start at the beginning and methodically learn the basics. If you go for the minimum five lessons the topics are:

Lesson 1: Import, metadata, and Interface
Lesson 2: Library module
Lesson 3: Develop Module
Lesson 4: Develop Module
Lesson 5: Export and misc tidbits

If you decide on more classes we may cover additional modules (Print, Book, Slideshow, etc), plugins, more Develop module, etc. If you like, we can focus in on the topics that interest you and customize your lesson plans.

Between lessons you practice and come back with questions about the previous week's lesson.

Often I start by sharing my screen and editing my own set of images and talking about what I'm doing as I go.

In order to improve the quality of my instruction, I don't focus on other aspects of the photography workflow, and I only cover Lightroom. Camera mechanics isn't the focus of this course. My assumption is that you already pretty much know how to use your camera and have images of your own to work with. Editing your images is strongly affected by what comes out of the camera, so, as needed, we will talk about ways to improve your images in the camera to make editing easier. 
 
I specialize in wedding portraits, but you can apply the lessons to any type of photography. 

We can meet at my studio, your home, or online by sharing screens. 

It doesn't matter what version you have or what operating system you use. We'll make it work. I use LR CC 2015 on a Mac. 

I have owned my own successful photography business since 2007. Lightroom is the cornerstone of my workflow. I've clocked thousands of hours in LR, and I have adoring clients to prove it. I have a Master's degree in Instructional Technology (using tech to teach), so I know a thing or two about teaching online. I'm new to takelessons, but in one form or another I've been teaching since 2005.

Hi, I'm super excited to help you make your images pop! I love photography. I've been a photographer for sixteen years. I've successfully run my own photography business for eight years and shot hundreds of weddings with adoring clients. I have a Master's degree in Instructional Technology. That's fancy talk for designing instruction and using technology to deliver it. I have worked in the distance education field for ten years. I love to combine my two passions and teach photography using technology!

Ryan was my first and only photography teacher and now I can also take great photos without using the auto settings.  I love knowing what each setting on the camera does, how to control it and how it will affect my end result.   As a teacher, Ryan is patient, fun, expansive on explanations (don't ask if you don't really want to know), and most of all, really enjoys teaching.  I would highly recommend Ryan if you like hands-on experience and interaction as you learn. To be fair, perhaps I am biased since I have a major crush on him (and married him).
