Abstract Painting with Oliver C.

I am a professional artist working in several mediums, including drawing, abstract painting, photography, video and writing. I received a Bachelors of Fine Arts from the School of the Art Institute of Chicago, and a Meisterschüler (German graduate- level art degree). I have exhibited my work in internationally in Berlin, Frankfurt, Chicago and New York. I spent the summer of June 2022 working with hundreds of young creators in the Takelessons group summer camp program and it was a blast! Prior to this I taught ESL classes for children ages 4-14, so I am particularly comfortable with remote learning. I strive to make my online lessons deeply engaging and visually exciting. I have also taught visual art classes in private households for children, as a summer camp counselor and as a private painting tutor with adults in Frankfurt. Additionally I have worked as a tutor with young adults for the Early College Program (ECP) at the School of the Art Institute of Chicago. I have over fifteen years of experience working with children and I have decided to place a clear focus on teaching Arts exclusively to young people as this is what makes me happiest and gives me the most energy and joy. I am available for private lessons for students of all ages to develop skills, techniques and concepts on a deep and personal level. I am also interested to teach with a group lesson format as I deeply believe in creating a creative community. This is where I feel learning can thrive and I am confident in my unique abilities to facilitate this within a group of young creators. Please note my group classes are open to ages 5-17.
