Spanish with Nico W.

A grandson of a peppy, tough Spanish grandmother, I have always had an affinity and love for the Spanish language. Building on the Spanish I learned from her and in high school, I mastered the language while travelling alone in remote areas of Nicaragua. My teaching style is casual and conversational. I believe the best learning happens when we want to learn. Like cooking? We'll make a Spanish or Latino dish and read the directions in Spanish. This approach can be transferred to other interests as well and combines well with progressive overloading of vocabulary. I'm a positive teacher and support my students well. I am passionate about teaching languages because learning a language is the gateway to experiencing another culture--the pursuit of us learning to converse with each other and live abundantly in this more and more connected world.
