I am a teacher at heart. I like the language arts and the satisfaction that comes with helping others achieve their goals through learning a new language. I am a good communicator and adapt easily to new situations. I creatively customize lessons and instruction to meet the needs of the individual learner. I believe that creating a welcoming, fun and relaxing class environment fosters student’s confidence and a pleasant learning experience. My professional life started in the corporate world, working as a Human Resources analyst before moving to the USA from my native México. I spent my first years in Texas at home, raising my kids and improving my bilingual skills. Some years later, I volunteered at my parish teaching ESL to adult immigrants. Having greatly enjoyed this activity, I started part time jobs at Harris County Department of Education and McDonald’s, teaching ESL to a diverse body of adult students. Teaching my native language was the natural next step on my teaching journey and these opportunities allowed me to gain considerable experience and confidence; so in 2017 I started offering my services as a Spanish private tutor.
