I loved my first lesson with Michelle. She is patient and know how to explain the ins and outs of how to operate the machine. I highly recommend Michelle if you are interested in learning how to sew well.

    Experience

    Seamstress

    Jun, 2016 - Present

    Tailored Draperies

Tailored Draperies is a custom drapery work room. I assist with sizing the drapes, pressing/rolling hems, cutting fabrics, helping with measures for their clients and more. I am continuing to train and gain more knowledge about designing home decor.

    Fashion Design Assistant

    Oct, 2015 - Present

    Renovar

I am currently working one on one with the Head Fashion Designer and owner of Renovar. I assist with Renovar's seasonal collections inspired by artists and other fashion designers throughout history. My duties include hand sewing appliques and surface embellishments such as beading and manipulations. I also do a variety of garment construction techniques with finishes, cutting, patterning and more.

    Fashion Design Internship

    May, 2015 - Nov, 2015

    Violet Bells

During my time interning, I hand sewed veils, head pieces, garters and other bridal accessories. I worked with a variety of fabrics such as lace, silks and tulle. I assisted with sewing the Designer's first two wedding dresses for her Spring/Summer 2016 collection. It was a great opportunity to learn about the fashion bridal industry and experience the growth of her company.
