Over the years I’ve had many tutors, worked with many professors and teachers, and I have to say that Marie is by far in the top 5% of all educators that I’ve seemed guidance from. I’ve taken the GRE multiple times, yet was only a few points away from my required Verbal score. I saw the reviews that Marie had and decided that she would be the best person to help me achieve my goal and I was right. She worked with me to develop a study plan based on what worked best with my schedule rather than taking one size fits all approach to my learning. She took extra steps to send my daily assignments that were challenging and helped me grow. She took time to help me get to the root cause of why I wasn’t answering questions correctly by not just moving on to the next problem just because I got it correct. She really cares. We talked constantly and she was always there when I had a question day or night. I plan to apply her methods and all that I’ve learned from her while attending the university that I was recently accepted to! Thank you Marie! Anyone seeking a truly dedicated and inspiring tutor for GRE Verbal should definitely choose Marie. Simply the best!

First of all, Marie is a very pleasant person. Working with someone that is nice makes learning so much better. She immediately provided me with several new techniques for studying that will allow me to focus on the areas that I am struggling with. She broke information down to where it was easy for me to understand and reemphasized key points that she was teaching to ensure that I understood them. More importantly, she asked me if I understood what she was teaching me rather than assume that I comprehended everything immediately, which many instructors I've worked with do not tend to do. Lastly, she was also willing to adjust her schedule to help me get the study sessions in that I need. I'm glad that I am working with her to up my GRE score!

M. Marie Roche conducted on the campus of U Mass eight seminars--open to all--on two of Shakespeare's history plays, King John and Richard II. Neither play is popular with modern Shakespeare-going audiences. But she accomplished the nearly impossible--making both plays compelling and relevant by her selection of background documents and themes. I hope that TakeLessons can provide an adequate platform for her level of sophistication.
