Hi, my name is Layla M. I have taught art to kids between the ages of 4 and 12 with a company called KidzArt. I taught with them for several years. Before the pandemic, I was instructing in-person classes at elementary schools and in the KidzArt studio as well. In 2020, we began conducting virtual classes, so I have had almost a year of experience teaching art classes over Zoom. I began teaching my own virtual art classes separate from my company a few months ago. At the end of last year, I published a children’s book called “Rami the Travel Llama” which is available through Amazon and have since published a second book, “Differences are Great!” I enjoy illustrating children’s books and plan to continue producing and publishing stories starring the characters that I have created. Art is my passion and I love teaching to my young audience. My past students have really enjoyed being in my art classes and I would love to share my experience and love of art with the students of OutSchool. I enjoy teaching all kinds of art topics and will always be open to suggestions from my students or parents. Some of my favorite topics to teach include realistic sketching/drawing techniques, character drawing and design, and watercolor landscapes/cityscapes.
