We are a professional reiki association that features a code of ethics and professional standards of practice. Our purpose is to provide professional recognition for members at the same time we make it possible for those seeking Reiki sessions and classes to find qualified practitioners and teachers.

Since childhood, I've had a true passion for handwriting! I always wanted to perfect my handwriting, from as early as pre-school, carefully mimicing my teacher's writing from the board. Handwriting has always fascinated me!
In high school, I learned one calligraphy alphabet from a teacher/mentor, which allowed me to create my own unique font. Years later, I took this art to the next level, receiving calligraphy lessons from a professional each week for a 2 months. Now I have 4+ years experience creating "save the date" cards, wedding invitations, guest/table cards, as well as addressing wedding envelopes for clients. Throughout this period, I've spent significant time attaining knowledge on calligraphy through reading, researching then practicing! Starting with the basics, I will lead guided exercises tailored to your needs. Lessons will begin with a short history overview - then to holding the nib pen/Copperplate pen. You'll learn stroke pressure/angles, calligraphic terms & wedding etiquette & enveloping, (if interested) as well as different alphabets! Following each lesson, I will provide  short weekly assignments to monitor your progress to to help you continue improving your skills! I specialize in Copperplate font, however, I recommend beginners start with the Roman Capitals font to get comfortable with using the nib pen and practicing strokes. I truly believe anyone can learn this special art and with practice & dedication you will be a calligrapher in no time! :)

Currently, I work as a behavior therapist for children with autism spectrum disorder. I work during the day hours 9-5 PM. In my job, I always find ways to incorporate my lettering into my sessions! - with chalk or free-draw! -sometimes teaching the children (that are interested)  to do "fancy letters."
In my off-time, I enjoy practicing calligraphy and engaging in my own creative projects, which can include, paintings, creating signs and of course sending letters.  As I am a recent graduate from graduate school, I am excited to now have time available to continue practicing my calligraphy.  
Occasionally, I am contacted for wedding calligraphy jobs, which in the past have included the wedding invitation, save the dates, place cards/table cards and writing envelopes! Now that I have time to engage in this amazing hobby, I am excited to teach others what I have learned. I truly believe with patience and lots of practice, anyone can learn! It takes time for some, but it is truly worth it :)
