French with Kathleen D.

I've played piano and violin for the Russian Seasons in MN, a Russian music festival for almost 10 years and with various bands that have performed in the twin cities. I have played piano and violin since I was 9, trained in classical music playing with the Phipps Youth Symphony as a teenager and in the University of Eau Claire orchestra throughout college. Throughout the past 15 years I have learned techniques outside of classical such as : Irish fiddle, Gypsy, folk/country and bluegrass. I can teach suzuki or a more relaxed approach using the John Thompson books. Children will learn to play by ear, read notes using fun games and will learn to sing while they play, something many children and adults learn to enjoy. In addition to music, I've been a French teacher/ French tutor for 15 years, for all ages, all grade levels. I love learning new things and enjoy the learning process and believe that learning new skills is good for the mind and heart.
