My approach to language-learning is highly personal and communicative. I choose authentic resources for your level and your interests. Then I develop knowledge in French culture and mastery of the necessary vocabulary and grammar structures through in-depth exploration of these sources. I focus on communication through writing, reading, speaking, and comprehension and I can adjust our focus based on your needs and goals.

I earned my PhD in 2018. 
I am currently teaching all levels of French at a local independent high school.
2 years ESL teaching experience to children aged 3-15 (in Japan)
9 years French university teaching experience (in both language and literature) at Northwestern University, Loyola Univesity, and Roosevelt University.  
10 years tutoring experience in both ESL and French 

I have worked with both adults, children, and high school students. I adapt games and material to be age and level appropriate.
