About Jane M.
Experience
Creative Visionary

Creating videos on "how to watercolor." Creating step-by-step online free lessons while I create a painting. Our film crew traveled with me to California, Minnesota, Missouri and more to film several segments of our series. So many unexpected things happen while I'm painting. From wind, and bees, to dogs, and quick changes of weather. Being an artist requires thinking on your feet. :)

An online gallery featuring my artwork, including photographs, drawings, paintings and multimedia work. My work is always evolving so there is always something new. I am inspired by the world to create beautiful interpretations of the complexity around us.

We think everyone would benefit from more art in their life. Art gives people a voice. It allows us to flow to a contemplative space to unwind, recharge, and to be attentive with the intuitive, "free-styling" part of our thinking. art allows us to bridge differences; to understand other cultures and ways of mental processing. Individual blog posts take on various forms of art from music to silhouette cutting to watercolor and drawing. Sometimes we consider materials and techniques. In one way or another it all circles back to teaching about art -- our core mission.

American Craft Council
Apr, 2020For more than 75 years, the American Craft Council has championed craft. Our founder, Aileen Osborn Webb, recognized the significant impact craft has on individuals and communities, and established a nonprofit to preserve, cultivate, and celebrate this communal heritage. Today, our efforts span the nation. We support professional makers through our unique nonprofit shows. We offer educational resources, including a one-of-a-kind library, conferences, public lectures, and student programs. Our national awards spotlight emerging artists and honor masters. And we promote the handmade through our resource-rich website and award-winning magazine, American Craft.
Ohio Plein Air Society
Apr, 2016The Ohio Plein Air Society is a collection of artists and art lovers sharing a common interest in outdoor painting. While we recognize that all art is important, as a group we focus on painting, drawing, and other art forms completed on site, from direct observation, and outdoors. Our admiration for the world around us gives us reason to explore through art the diversity and uniqueness of Ohio’s landscapes, cityscapes, lakes, rivers, and streams, and beyond. As a non-profit organization, OPAS welcomes and supports artists, patrons, educators, and enthusiasts of all ages and skill levels, backgrounds and interests.
