Former attendee of North Carolina School of the Arts in Winston Salem as well as SUNY Purchase School of Music.

I've worked as a professional church choral music director, and have extensive experience teaching (in addition to piano) hand drums, drumset, singing, and beginning guitar -- all in a variety of genres.

I help singers achieve vocal freedom, connecting most directly to songs as well as their natural voice.

I perform around my local area in a variety of venues from upscale wine bars to weddings.

I live, teach, and play with passion -- and look forward to sharing that with every new student I meet.

This was my first time trying music lessons. Isaiah Was able to help me feel comfortable singing and acquire more of a natural sounding voice. and over the course of 4 weeks worth of lessons i was able to improve greatly in my abilities to the point where i'm confident now :) would recommend and will be back for more!

Isaiah was patient and helpful, a good music teacher who gave my daughter the skills to improve in her instrumental music class.

Isaiah worked with me to identify my vocal range, and where I fell short in my vocal abilities. Isaiah gave me tailor made exercises to improve my singing . I began to hear the change in just a couple of sessions. He is really patient and individualistic in his approach, which makes him in awesome teacher. I would recommend Isaiah to anyone in a heartbeat.

I am an adult learner (over 65). I have been taking lessons from on Isaiah for 4 years. I am so grateful for the combination of encouragement and challenge he brings to each piano lesson. I look forward to each lesson because I am always learning. I recommend Isaiah with the highest recommendation possible. You will not be disappointed taking lessons from Isaiah.

Isaiah is a great music teacher. Multi-instrumentalist, talented, down to earth and friendly. My 8 year old daughter takes lesson to him every week for almost 2 years now. She loves it and definitely making great progress. Isaiah is great with kids and customizes his lessons according to my daughter's interests and talent. I highly recommend the Simpson School of Music, especially for parents who are looking for a convenient music school for their children in Raleigh-Cary area.

I was totally terrified to take voice lessons... I had never sang in front of anyone except my steering wheel but Isaiah was amazing!! After the first second, I was totally comfortable with him and my confidence is continuing to build. Not only that, I’m learning so much about different techniques and he’s helping me find my voice. He’s totally brilliant and he supports you no matter what you want to sing! I’d strongly recommend him to anyone :)

After taking almost a 30 year hiatus from playing the piano, I decided to give lessons another shot. In my search for a teacher who works with adults and can accommodate my crazy work schedule, I found Isaiah through Amazon Local Deals. After my first lesson, I was sure this teacher was a good fit for my reintroduction to piano. I conveyed my goals of playing more difficult pieces and Isaiah tailored my lessons to do just that. He also provided advice on how to mentally approach a piece of music. I enjoy playing now more than ever and look forward to delving into some jazz and improvisation.
