C Programming with Heriberto R.

I have tutored at the college level, helping students with Math and Physics for two years. From my experience with tutoring I found that encouraging independent learning, repetition, and building a solid foundation are important for mastering a subject. This is why I like to use the Socratic method when tutoring as well as encourage my tutee to verbalize their thoughts while they are solving a problem and to explain how they solved it after they found the solution. Although I studied computer engineering in college I am very passionate about teaching and plan on becoming a teacher after getting some experience in industry as a mobile application developer. Having real world experience will help me be a better teacher in the future as I will be able to teach both the theoretical aspects of computer science and some real world applications. In my free time I enjoy playing soccer, dancing salsa, hiking, and especially programming. I am currently learning more about iOS mobile application development by making my own application that connects soccer players by notifying other users when a pick-up soccer game will take place near their area.
