Animation with Heather C.

My name is Heather and I am a professional stop motion animator, puppet fabricator, and educator. My goal as a teacher is to create a safe, fun environment in which we can learn a ton while having a great time. I provide you with support and structure so you feel as capable as possible while learning to animate or fabricate. Whether your goal is to take up a new hobby or to get a job as a working animator or fabricator, I've got your back. I bring a lot of professional work and teaching experience to the table - I've worked at various stop motion studios on tv and commercial productions like Tumble Leaf (puppet painter), SuperMansion (animator) and Robot Chicken (animator). I have taught over 12 classes at UCLA and Loyola Marymount University over the past 5 years. I create my lessons from the students' perspective to make sure they're as engaging and as fun as possible, while mastering technical concepts, and infuse my work with lots of humor. I've guided over 100 students through the process of making short films and have mentored thesis films that have been short-listed for the Student Academy Awards. I can't wait to work with you!
