I have obtained a degree in Menswear Design and Marketing from Fashion Institute of Technology and a degree in Applied Science Visual Communications from Katharine Gibbs School. I’ve taught garment construction, sketching and CAD design classes (Adobe Suite) for five years and have over 17 years of experience in the fashion industry. I have taught these skills to adolescents and adults in various programs including: Day and evening classes in afterschool s, summer programs As a teacher, my main goal is to motivate students to do their best and extend their own personal limits. I devise programs, according to syllabus requirements, that expand on previous knowledge and encourage students to explore new and interesting possibilities. I encourage students to construct their own learning in an environment that stimulates and helps students to realize their full potential. I have had some excellent results with students who have a history of poor performance.

Hasaan is a very patient teacher--which is definitely a requirement for online sewing/pattern making lessons. We worked on my bodice sloper, and he was able to quickly identify the fitting issues I had. He shares best practices, tips, and terminology all throughout the lesson so that you learn as much as possible. Will continue with him.

I had a tight time schedule to finish a summer project before I went in for surgery and Hasaan was very sensitive to that. He was able to teach me new skills in pattern making and cutting that made the process easier/ more accurate as well as sewing techniques. I would say my experience with him was very positive and he was always cheerful and and in a great mood and helped me out a lot with my project. I would definitely recommend using him for lessons.
