I am a practicing artist, working in oils, watercolor and mixed media. I graduated from University of Arkansas, School of Art with a Bachelors of Fine Art, specifically painting.

Painting and Drawing students can expect to improve week to week in their technical skills while learning where their voice lies, for example I found my voice in figure drawing and painting. Each artist has a their own unique voice in the art world. There are foundational techniques in order to unlock although to get them there. I can help any student bring out their own voice along with teaching them discipline in skill and technique.

I teach art students of all different ages and experience levels. I studied art in college but it started well before that. I am a walking cliche. When I say I knew I wanted to be an artist very young its no joke. I have been creating since I was very little. I have been teaching for over 15 years. I can teach a two year old on up to senior age. Since I am a practicing art teacher that means I can teach beginners, intermediate and advanced. We can start off with basics like the elements of art or jump into more intermediate and advanced work like building a conceptual painting or drawing out.

As a professional I have studied in Italy and have taken workshops in artist residencies. My work can be found in local and regional galleries and also I sell on Saatchi Art Gallery and have my works in private homes across the nation.

My personal passion is the figure while working in oils and watercolor but I firmly believe that great technique is essential to any and every style. I look forward to meeting you and helping you to become a better artist!
