I began my career in web development over 20 years ago. I developed my skills over the preceding years by teaching myself to make web pages for a fan site that I wanted to create back before there were easy tools to do so. That led me to my career where I work with enterprise customers every day to understand their businesses and teach them how to use tools to drive business value. My skills were originally in HTML, JavaScript, Java, and PHP, but I have done considerable work with shell scripting, Visual Basic, C/C++, PowerShell, and Python. My primary focus these days is PowerShell but I use very formal practices including Test-Driven Development and source code control with Git. In addition, I use these practices for DevOps which is a way to treat pretty much anything that you could type into a computer as code.
