Renegade knitting&crochet teacher and creative adviser, without borders, for all my fiber friends

“Woolista” means “wool” in Finnish. My Finnish Dad taught me to knit. He HAD to knit his own socks during his growing up years. I MUST knit socks to keep me sane :) Ah, living the legacy! Thanks Dad :) My purpose, for the love of wool, is simple: encourage and support my fiber friends and students who desire to produce elegant and couture projects that are repeatable with reliable results. My wooly creds include the following: Level 1 Master Knitter. Previous Teaching experience at Yarn Garden and KnitPurl in Portland, Oregon. Productive wool time often seriously interrupted by my day job (Management Consultant) and my evening hobby (Recorder Orchestra Player). Masters degree in Accounting and Information Technology. Wooly Stash status: SABLE (stash available beyond life expectancy :)

Diane is a fantastic knitting teacher! She does not only help you learn how to knit, but she also teaches you how to problem solve any knitting problems. She always stays calm while teaching and knows the importance of hands on learning.

Diane, is the best knitting teacher ever. She taught me how to knit. Shared so many methods, Magic Loop, bind on, bind off, modifying patterns to name a few. Diane is truly a subject matter expert. And recommend her to anyone.

Diane is so patient and she has a unique way of presenting knitting in a way that’s easy to learn and master. Learning to knit will help you distress and relax to the rhythm of the needles. Highly recommended!
