Web Design with Dane H.

I've had three out of the five lessons I purchased to learn how to set up a blog starting from absolutely no background knowledge. In that time, just 1.5 hours, I have learned enough to function well within the platform and be able to troubleshoot problems with searches or YouTube videos (although I'm happy to continue my lessons and will probably reconnect with Dane Hartman in the future as my needs evolve and I want to understand the platform even better.) I chose Dane as an instructor because he has a background in education, which makes him very well qualified to understand how people learn. I found this very important because I prefer to learn in a live setting but there were no WordPress experts in my area. With that potential limitation, it was even more important that I connected with a professional trained not only in WordPress but also teaching. I recommend Dane highly. He is professional, articulate, extremely knowledgeable about the subject area, and very flexible with scheduling. We utilized every second of the lesson appointment on what I needed to learn, and I was always the one to call "time" on the end of the lesson. He also walked me through utilizing the blog platform to house information that I would temporarily need to share with a number of people that is unrelated to the blog. I was thrilled that I could make the blog do "double-duty" for me on this matter. If the subject you want to learn about is in his list of areas of expertise, don't hesitate to book lessons with Dane!

Dane has a treasure-trove of knowledge and he's willing to share it. He has a lot of patience and when he doesn't know something he investigates the problem with creative solutions until it's solved. (I am working with Apple's "Pages" -- truly a minefield of chaotic minutia but Dane isn't thrown by it. I am.)

My first lesson with Dane was very helpful, I learned so much in our time today. I had previously viewed a few WordPress tutorials on YouTube, but they don't come close to what you can learn with one on one training, specific to your needs. Dane is very thorough and an expert in his field. There are so many things to learn and he made it very easy to understand and follow along. The best part is that we were able to share screens, this made is so much easier for me to learn.
