I have been crocheting, knitting and sewing since I was 8 years old. I studied fashion design at the Fashion Institute of Technology and design knitted, crochet and sewing garment. Over the years I have taught adults and children and currently teach at an after-school program. I am an ambidextrous knitter and crocheter as such, I have the ability to teach both right and left dominant individuals. I taught both group and private lessons at my yarn Slip Stitch Needlecraft. My years of teaching has given me insight on different learning styles, and I adapt my lesson to each student so that they can learn in and enjoyable, stress-free manner.

I am a beginner and taking a long time to master the basics and Claudette has been nothing but patient and encouraging though I imagine she's gritting her teeth at how slow I am. :-) Her love for this art shines through and creates fantastic energy during the lessons.
