I've been sewing since I was 12 and I will share everything my Grandmother taught me.  Basic sewing, your sewing machine, sewing with patterns, shopping for fabric and notions.  Garment construction, alterations and what ever you'd like to learn to create beautiful clothing for yourself or your children.  I spent time as a professional dressmaker and continue to make my clothing in my leisure.  I love the craft and you will too!

My Grandmother taught me how to sew during the summers when I was 8 years old.  I was hooked.  From then, I began altering old clothes to make new pieces all during school, taking garments apart and putting them back together for a fresh look.   I spent many years as a professional dressmaker and retail merchandising of designer sportswear.  Learn to sew with me and have the looks you really want, Beginners, intermediate or an expert that wants to sharpen your skills.

Haven't taken sewing classes since high school. This is a personalized option for adults that considers the "basics". Best for someone who wants to replicate favorite looks and learn how fabric and notions work together.

This was my first lesson with Carla. She was on time, professional and well prepared. This was a great experience because we set goals and identified my objectives for the class. I am looking forward to enhancing my sewing skills.
