English (ESL) with Bonnie C.

More and more students are looking to become fluent in English, and I am the teacher to help. I graduated from the University of Dayton with an education degree and a minor in English. I have four years of classroom teaching, working with students ages 13-18. During my time in the classroom, I worked with International students of all different abilities and knowledge of the English language. These students came from many countries around the world and I supported them in each of their specific learning journies. After becoming a mom, I taught English one-on-one to students in China, focusing on speaking skills and preparing them for their exams. Reading, writing, and speaking are all very important components to learning the English language. I have a number of books at my disposal, choosing them based on the student's interests. If you choose to complete your tutoring in person, I have a number of props and learning tools that the student will be able to touch, feel, and use to increase his/her English knowledge. If you complete tutoring via webcam, you will be able to see and hear me clearly. I will utilize different cameras, props, and tools to assist the student in getting an interactive, hands-on lesson that is beneficial to his/her English learning journey. Beginning students will learn letters and their sounds, numbers, colors, shapes, and basic phonics, all while incorporating basic speaking, writing, and reading. Once these students have mastered these we will build upon these skills to increase reading, writing, and speaking skills. Advanced students will focus on proper pronunciation, inflection, and tone while speaking and reading.
