I like to focus on integrating all of the language skills- speaking, reading, writing, and listening- into a lesson plan so that students have a well-rounded language ability. I graduated with a Masters in Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages from Cornerstone University in 2013. I decided to pursue teaching ESL after spending 6 months in Guatemala working with young women recovering from abuse. They were excited to learn English in hopes of obtaining well-paying jobs. I came home with a desire to learn more about how to teach English and help others reach their goals. 
Since receiving my masters degree I have taught at an elementary school, tutored adults in private sessions, and taught classes in China. 
I love learning from my students and sharing my knowledge with them as well. In my free time I love reading, bike rides, and playing with my puppy!
