I am an experienced ESL teacher. I graduated with a Bachelor degree in Psychology, and became CELTA certified a few years later. CELTA specializes in teaching ESL to adults, but I also have experience teaching children of all ages.

ESL students can expect to first learn the basics and build from there. The fundamentals of the language will make the complex parts of the language easier. Every student has a unique way of learning based on their native language or culture. It is my job to figure out the best way each student can learn the English language.

My personal favorite thing to teach is grammar, but all aspects of the language are important in understanding English. If your goal is to pass a proficiency test, such as IELTS or TOEFL, I have 3 years experience in preparing students for both.

As a teacher, one of the absolute best parts is seeing the lightbulb go off when a student finally understands something they were previously struggling with. It is my goal to break down any aspect of the English language that doesn't quite make sense in the beginning.
