I teach violin at the New School for Leadership and the Arts, mostly to novice players, and I have experience teaching violin to children of all ages.
My primary instrument is guitar, which I've played for about 25 years in many different bands, styles, and genres. I studied music and classical guitar at University of Central Florida, and during that time I also helped teach violin to a class of third graders. I'm not a pro violinist, but I have plenty of experience working with novice players, helping them develop proper technique, sight reading, ear training, and other skills needed to advance to the next level.

My son started working with Ms. Autumn about two years ago. Before he started lessons, he was feeling frustrated and behind other students his age. He is now shifting, using vibrato, and showing so much confidence in his playing. Thank you!"

It is a delight to have Miss Anna to be Airin's teacher. Her passion in violin is encompassing. An inspiration!
Miss Anna's teaching style is encompassing. She showed Airin the fundamentals of playing the instrument at a level that a 12-year old is inspired to play. She also showed many components needed to get involved in learning how to play the instrument - very informative.
I look forward to Airin's next lesson. Thank you, Miss Anna."

Luther loves to answer all of your questions. He will analyze and dissect your technical questions about how to play the violin: concerning tone, bowing, left hand issues, and how to use your arms, shoulders, back and your whole body while playing the instrument. He can help you with fingering and answer your questions about written music. He will demonstrate and help you play musically. He is able prepare you for your orchestral audition, help you learn concertos and other solo music and help you with chamber music. Thanks Luther for continuing to help me attain my dream to become an excellent violinist!"
