Peter is a great teacher. He finds what your level is and goes from there. Peter finds what kind of style of learning best fits you.
For me, when Peter is playing the drums or Piano after he has given me the structures/scales makes it very easy to learn. Very patient and encouraging. Ask yourself- Why aren’t YOU taking lessons with Peter?

I provide every student with different pieces according to his/her age and individual abilities. Each student has a different learning speed and level of enthusiasm which needs to be taken into account. With young children I find it helpful to integrate games, stories and pictures to enliven the lesson. I try not to be too strict, but I expect my students to practice at home and not to miss lessons. I use a number of books and methods. After 3 to 6 months a young student will have learned at least 12 notes on the staff, to sight-read easy pieces, to understand count rhythm values, and to play simple songs .

SO WONDERFUL! My 7 year old was upset I signed him up for piano and after his first lesson he was bummed he couldn’t have piano lessons everyday! She is so kind, patient and teaches in fun ways kids respond to. She had finger families, note families and even small stuffed animals that help them learn. I am so excited to have found her!

Laima has a very fun way of presenting the basics of piano that is so relatable to younger kids. She’s positive, encouraging, and so personable. We can’t wait for the next lesson.

I studied under Leilah for several years and I couldn't have asked for a better teacher. She was my first teacher; she showed me the basics of cello and taught me in Suzuki books 1-6. One thing Leilah does that not many cello teachers do is play with her students. At my lessons, Leilah always had her cello out and was ready to demonstrate a technique or playing style, which helped immensely with my understanding of music. Having Leilah as a teacher has given me the skills and preparation I need to play in college. I would recommend her to any cello student who is willing to work hard to improve.

Ms. Leilah has an in depth understanding of the Suzuki Method but also uses many inventive ideas to make lessons fresh and motivating!

"Patricia was an excellent teacher! Very knowledgeable and patient. It was my first time taking on the piano and she was very helpful in every step. I felt I learned a lot during our lessons and she would also give you great tips on how to practice on your own, which was key for me. She was also very flexible, which I appreciated as work got in the way of our scheduled times on occasion. Highly recommend!!! You will not be disappointed."

"Great teacher!

First of all, Dave is an incredibly gifted musician, but his talent for teaching is top-notch as well. His laid-back personality worked well to put me at ease, and he is very patient in his guidance and instruction. He covers a lot of territory, but he utilizes a building-block method of teaching that makes sense to me. Speaking solely from the perspective of an adult student, he does challenge you to stretch and to think, to search for patterns and logical sequences on the keyboard. This makes the learning feel more collaborative, as though I’m engaging in my own progress in ways beyond the practice time. I highly recommend him if you’re looking for quality keyboard time with a great instructor."

The Do's and Don'ts of Piano Care | How to Clean a Piano

Not sure how to clean your piano? Check out these tips from Olympia, WA teacher Tali H...   Perhaps you’ve heard the saying, “A clean room gives way to a clear mind.” Although I’m not so sure this logic follows for the piano (“a clean piano gives ways to clear playing”), it’s still important to keep your playing area relatively clutter-free and your piano tidy. While caring for the piano is simple, there are a few things to watch out for and some easy steps you can take …
