First thing I do before first day of class is send out a welcoming greeting via email and call a few days before first lesson. We Briefly discuss and establishing the learning goals for the course based on the visual literacy, technical, and intellectual competencies the students should achieve by the end of a period is ideal for me to design the course or update an existing course for the student's desired outcomes. The syllabus and the schedule are completed along with a comprehensive strategy for what will take place during class. lessons include: physical pre warm ups, breathing exercises, vocal warm-up exercises and technical work, solfeggio (sight-singing), ear training, repertoire musical coaching , speech coaching, preparation for auditions and performances.

Lessons begin with stretching, vocal warm ups, scales, and extensive breath work, as well as resolving any tensions that may be hindering your vocal production. I then through collaboration with the student, work on beginning repertoire that is suited for the voice, and challenging at the same time. I record all lessons, and email them to the student so that one has the opportunity to review the warm ups, and hear the improvement in the voice, I also write a review of every lesson, with notated warm-ups and a list of "To Do's" for the week so that the student will have a structured practice week. I provide music, and if needed recordings of the pieces so that the student can take the materials back to their homes and practice them on their own.

Meg is one of the best vocal performance teachers I have ever met. She is extremely skilled in her art, has a breathtaking singing voice, and has great in-depth knowledge of various works as a result of her degree training at the University of Delaware. My daughter started vocal lessons with Meg in fifth grade, and worked with her for two years. We stopped only because Meg graduated and moved out of state for about a year, and we are thrilled she is back in Delaware. She gave my daughter a solid foundation in vocal training, and as a result in part of her influence, my daughter is now in an elite local choir. I highly recommend Meg to any parent who wants a good, knowledgeable vocal teacher for their elementary, middle, or high school student. Meg is patient, reliable, and great to work with as well."

She focusses mainly on vocal health so I'm not damaging my voice in any way. Her teaching technique is unique, nothing like I've ever experienced before and it works!"
