I have been teaching voice for 17 years now. I have taught to students aged between 17 - 60 and also have worked with children aged between 4 - 14 and helped them get into children choruses in opera houses as well as preparing them later for conservatory auditions. As i am also a biodynamic breathwork trauma release system therapist , miyofascial energy release massage therapist and holding meditation workshops , i have a deeper understanding of body pressure , tension release . I also use human voice to release trauma combined with breathwork and use breath and bodywork to use voice as a whole instrument. Through these techniques i can also help you find a real connection with your heart center and work on your music through these techniques. Great singing comes from being the song itself , staying in the flow , releasing and freeing yourself with the air , while you are balanced in your body and in the spine. It is all about feeling yourself more comfortable in your being and to be ...

When I started training with Vanessa I had not had any formal education on singing since middle school. I needed to re-learn my fundamentals of singing. Her warm and encouraging teaching style made me comfortable immediately. She quickly found out where I was lacking and taught me I can be in control if I learn how to Breath while singing. Sounds easy right? Well no Vanessa really had to break my bad singing techniques because I wasn't using breath control. Well now my breathing and my tone has developed all due to Vanessa giving me the tools to sing properly. I highly recommend her if you are a serious student wanting to achieve your own sound properly and save your vocal chords from burning out due to bad form."

Our daughter came out sining when she was born. Though we were told that she was too young to take singing lessons (9 y/o), we were concerned about protecting her vocal cord. Regardless of the fact that she wasn't taking lessons she was singing all the time and would often choose broadway pieces or long winded pop songs. For the most part as a biased parent we felt she had talent, but could tell when she was straining or belting out a long and high note. So against advice we tried singing lessons. We had gone through 2 different teachers and finally found a wonderful instructor in Michelle. Our now 10 y/o is still singing, but with more control, expression, and more important with knowledge and techniques on how to protect her voice so that we can continue to enjoy her singing.
Recently on a whim AP tried out for the local children's theatre in a musical. First audition and she got a call back and by the third day was casted in the musical. She has a very small solo, two other small group pieces, and also part of the major cast for the big group singing. We are very proud that she achieved this. But all the credit, confidence, and preparation goes to her singing teacher Michelle. We highly recommend this instructor. She makes the sessions fun as well as technically appropriate for the age level of our daughter. She is very knowledgable and communicates well both to our daughter and myself as a parent. This has been exciting and we hope to continue with Michelle for our daughter loves her lessons and continues to grow and develop."
