When I first begin teaching a student, I tell them that everyone has the ability to sing well no matter his or her experience. I also tell them that there are four things that a good singer must have: breathe control (air is your fuel, and must be used efficiently and effectively to give you the best sound), posture (in order to have access to your air and prevent vocal damage you must practice good posture habits), diction (how you pronounce words when singing can impede or improve vocal tone, as well as help or hinder the audience in understanding the lyrics) and finally and most importantly, passion. Passion is how emotionally connected you are to music and is what really allows the singer to connect with his or her audience.

We are so happy to have found Lisa! She's sweet, always prepared and really listens to Chloe and what she wants to do. She is very talented and Chloe can't wait to go back each week for her next lesson.
After over a year of struggling finding the right voice teacher, I think we finally have!"

Vanessa is an amazing teacher. She is so sweet and encouraging! Whenever I'm having trouble with an exercise she is able to pin point what I'm doing wrong and correct me, which I really appreciate. I've only had a few lessons with her but I can already hear the progress! I highly recommend taking lessons with her. She's great!!"

Fawn is goose bumps kind of beautiful-as beautiful as her HUGE heart! She is giving of her time, talent and training, always willing to help any one in need.
She is also a great singer and song writer, very creative and gifted woman who is the best at her craft. She has helped me countless times when I became stuck in my abilities. Sheâs Awesome!!!!"
St. Louis Sings with Passion
By Kimberly B. - St. Louis Singing Teacher
From opera to rock ‘n’ roll, St. Louis has been the birthing ground for it all. There is something special about St. Louis when it comes to music. I don’t know if it’s in the water or in the air, but St. Louis seems to bring the best out of singers including Grace Bumbry, Frances Ginsberg, Tina Turner, Michael McDonald, Javier Mendoza and Robert McFerrin, just to name a few. Now it’s your turn to follow in their footsteps by taking singing lessons in St. Louis!
These singers and songwriters have all found their voice, but I’m sure there have been times when they heard things like “Your voice is too raspy” or “You’ll never make it as a singer.” I believe that whatever voice is inside us has the potential to come out. If there is
a passion inside of you to sing, to become a songwriter or even any type of performer, that passion is in you for a purpose. Moreover, that passion is meant to stir up the gift/talent inside of you to be the singer you were destined to become. You have to find your voice, your sound, your style. It is your passion, determination and talent that will make your dreams become reality.
When I teach singing lessons in St. Louis, it is my passion to help singers find their voice. TakeLessons is a great source to use to find your voice. Together we can give you the opportunity to sing with passion, all the way to your destiny. Sign up for singing lessons in St. Louis and start your journey today!
