Online or In-Person Oil Painting Lessons with Las Vegas, Nevada based Carolyn K. are for beginner thru intermediate level artists who have never been taught, or perhaps never mastered, a step-by-step way of approaching painting whether it be in oils or acrylics.
Carolyn has a unique, fun and easy way of interacting with students and conveying information, sure to delight students! It is the difference between artists who can become prolific and those that accomplish few pieces in their lifetime with most works becoming abandoned out of lack of an approach to completion.

Hi! Are you frustrated with muddy and poor color choices in your paintings, the inaccurate drawing of your subject, and overall mediocrity? I will help you overcome the fear and frustration of painting with some sound color theory and drawing methods. You can learn to apply colors that are bold and fresh. As artists who continually learn, I believe there is no wrong in exploring colors, When we continue to paint, we learn what didn't work and apply what does work. That is how we improve! The more we practice in small steps and the greater our success!
About Rita
I have been teaching and painting since 1983. I am also a professional mural artist and found that my painting improved many years after art school. I was frustrated back then and painting seemed so complicated! Is that you? I figured out, with my own research, the freedom and fun in painting. Y

Something I appreciated was her self-paced approach. I never felt rushed or held back. In terms of personality, Eleanor is bright and kind. She was fantastic about keeping me focused and correcting my techniques (I liked this especially because I didn't want to start off forming bad habits). I really wanted to get a solid understanding of painting with oils that I can apply on my own, and I certainly have. In the future I hope to work with Eleanor again as I further develop my skills."
