I've had to record my own band's albums for years, and have recorded a lot of local bands as well. Mixing and producing has become a huge passion of mine since the first time I learned what a compressor could do. Letting the music shine through while maintaining clarity and punch is an art that I love teaching.

Bachelor of Music in Piano Performance from Rice University Shepherd School of Music
I am a current TA for Music Theory and can assist with AP Music Theory homework. I can also design a syllabus with assigned practice and readings. I can teach beginners the basic foundations such as intervals, major/minor keys, and the circle of fifths all the way up to more advanced musicians, who may need to work on principles of post-tonal theory, set theory, and Schenkerian analysis for homework and exams.
I'm a soloist and collaborative pianist, recording engineer, and teacher! I graduated with my B.Mus. in Piano Performance from Rice University Shepherd School of Music in Spring 2020 and am an incoming M.Mus. student at the University of Colorado Boulder, studying Collaborative Piano. I became a

Best teacher ever 10/10"
Jason is great! I am in my late 30's with a busy family, and Jason is willing to work around my schedule. I don't have much time to practice, but he is very patient. He molds a lesson to my ability to learn, and gives me assignments to work on based on where I'm at with my experience. He is prompt and follows up with your questions quickly and always willing to help. He explains lessons in detail, and provides positive evaluation. I would highly recommend Jason to be your Guitar teacher!"
best director our community chorus has ever had and I have been in the chorus since 1989 and have been singing in various groups since I was in sixth grade.
He gives us expert technical direction and he makes you feel at ease when he
gives you suggestions on how we can perfect our performance. He took the time
out of his busy schedule to help me personally perfect a solo I performed for our
recent concert. I look forward to future concerts under his expert directions."
First off I'm an intermediate player, who has successfully avoided theory since I started playing. Coming to Ahmad for some help to hit the next level, he's cunningly introduced theory into the curriculum, but made it fun to do so with creative exercises I can take home and work on. For the last month I've seen my understanding of playing the guitar improve, and he's also helped with the creative side using the tools I have at my disposal.
I've been through a few teachers in my time, and Ahmad's understanding, patience and vim for guitar really shine through. Would definitely recommend for whatever stage you're at."
Fretless instruments are not uncommon in the world of music, however, a fretless guitar is an instrument that isn't often mentioned. The fretless guitar lacks the frets that one would traditionally see on a guitar. This means that there is no interruption in the string from the bridge, up the neck of the guitar. The lack of frets create an entirely unique, warm, but less amplified sound that works across all types of music. In order to truly understand what a fretless guitar is, it is first …
When you're learning how to sing, having the right tools is essential. Among those should definitely be a keyboard or piano -- continue reading to find out why in this guest post by St. Augustine, FL teacher Heather L... I've met singers over the years coming from all sorts of backgrounds and with all sorts of ideas of what being a singer really means and what tools it takes to stay good. Opera singers, rappers, folk singer-songwriters and everyone in between have crossed my path. I c …
