I am a professional musical theatre performer who has been working primarily in Chicago for the past 10 years. I have had the pleasure of working with companies such as Northlight Theatre, Walt Disney World, Provision, Fox Valley Rep, Boho, First Folio Theatre, and have even had the honor of working with Stephen Schwartz. In addition, I have also had callbacks for Chicago Shakespeare Theatre, The Goodman Theatre, Theatre at the Center, Marriott Theatre, The Evil Dead Musical National Tour and The Rock of Ages National Tour. (When I improve my dance ability - I hope to add some of these theatres to my resume) :) During lessons I will focus on giving you a customized lesson plan specifically designed to enhance your instrument and talents. Because of this, I prefer not to accompany on the piano during lessons as it takes my focus off of you. Whether you want to learn how to belt like Idina, or hit beautiful high notes like Kristin Chenoweth, I can help. Experienced Musical ...

I just had my first lesson with an acting teacher besides a high school theatre teacher. I didn’t know what to expect but I’m glad I decided to try. I’m excited to see where I can go from here.

John is fantastic teacher and very knowledgeable about music. He has a great rapport with his students. My daughter is very enthusiastic about her drum lessons with John every week and always looks forward to it. I would highly recommend John to anyone interested in music lessons.

Not only is John an off-the-charts professional drummer, he's a fantastic human being as well! He loves music and it comes through in the lessons! In 35 years of playing and hanging around wannabees, John is the genuine musician! Anyone really wanting to learn correctly needs John. I recommend him 100%.

Hi, I'm Jeremiah! I've been playing drums/percussion since I was 11 years old. I'm 23 now with a BM in Percussion Performance and I love playing all types of music! Currently I:
• gig with local artists that come from a range of genres: from jazz to pop to rock to folk
• also have experience playing percussion in symphony orchestras/concert bands
• have also held the drum/percussion seat for 14 different musicals
If any or all of those areas are of interest to you, I'd love to see if we'd make a good match! I'm super excited to share what I've learned (and am still learning) with beginning/intermediate students that love the thrill and challenge that comes from performing live music, no matter what form that takes.

About Jeremiah

Hi! I'm a freelance drummer/percussionist based in Chicagoland. In the spring of 2019, I graduated from Coe College with a Bachelor of Music degree in Percussion Performance. These days, I'm very happy to have the opportunity to play drums with various artists that span a multitude of genres: Dan

I grew up in a teaching family. My mother, sister, and uncle are teachers, and every day for years I heard stories of how they met the needs and challenges of thousands of students. My strengths are treating students as individuals, nurturing creativity, patience, inspiring passion & motivation, and focusing on the fundamentals of music making.

For someone who has never taken a private music lesson before I able to relax and begin learning about music literacy and music theory by Isaiah's ability to express and articulate the fundamentals of guitar in a simplified way. It was rewarding to leave the lesson with new techniques to practice and have fun with.

Terrific. Great with kids
Katie D.
We have a kid that has major anxiety issues, quit piano after a couple of years of learning nothing, and didn't want to play a musical instrument for the rest of her life. She was forced to take an instrument in school, and ended up borrowing my (older than I'd like to admit) flute. We searched for a teacher that "got" anxiety kids, and found Isaiah. In less than a year, my daughter is better on flute than I was after taking years of lessons. She adores Isaiah, and was so good after only playing for couple of months last year that she ended up playing a duet for the whole school at the winter concert. This was from the kid who wanted to change schools rather than take mandatory band class. He's an amazing teacher.

"Without reservation, I give Shannon my highest rating as a singing teacher/coach. As an amateur who hadn't sung in decades, I wanted to see if it were possible to recapture the joy and ease I had with singing in my youth. Shannon's experience both with singing and with teacher were immediately evident. She has proven to be the perfect combination of enthusiastic, passionate, encouraging, and motivating. I am enjoying myself tremendously."

"I took several guitar classes with Ahmad a while back - he is an excellent instructor and very personable. He was more concerned with teaching me how to play the guitar rather than trying to get me to pay for more sessions. I still have his very helpful teaching notes!

In addition to the actual instruction, he also had great advice on what to or not to buy - I am an expert at the violin (this is not like an Asian thing but I had insisted to learn it) but was a complete novice with the guitar. It also helps that he is a bonafide musician in an actual band - I attended one of his concerts, which was very enjoyable, but had to leave before I could talk to him."

"At first, I doubted that I could do a piano lesson online but Mr. Raymond erased all my doubt on the very first section with him. He is really good at what he does. I asked him a question and he answered it without any confusion. From his answers, I know he is really knowledgable in music generally, and piano specifically. He is friendly and laid-back but he will make sure you perfectly play your pieces. Take him and you will have no regret!"

"Molly is the best.

I came to Molly because I had never really sung before, and had wanted to pick it up after playing different instruments. I was pretty self conscious about the whole idea of singing, and didnt really have that much faith in it. I really didnt know what to expect from singing lessons at all, but Molly really broke things down for me and made the experience positive. She wasn't judgmental or pushy in any way at all. She listened to my ideas of what I wanted to sing, and some of the artists I got inspiration from. Not only that, but she's really awesome because she likes so many different genres of music! I would think that most vocal teachers prefer more classical types of music, but Molly could totally relate to rock n roll, alternative, etc. After my first lesson with Molly I felt 100% more confident about training my voice, and everything I was looking for in voice lessons I found. Thats why I keep taking lessons from her. She set me up with many different exercises to practice by myself, and she does a really good job of breaking things down so that a person with no singing experience can understand everything. Overall, I would recommend anyone, regardless of age or music preference to go to Molly for vocal lessons.

Also, she does skype lessons which is a HUGE help for me considering I live a little far from her. (I didnt know what to expect with that either, but you'll be surprised how well it works).
