About Blake

A job provides money. A career provides income over a longer term. But, guitar...guitar is part of who I am.

My passion for guitar and music has been alive as long as I can remember. Don't get me wrong, guitar and I had our ups and downs. Serious issues! At times guitar was stubborn and difficult. In fact, while attending the American Conservatory of Music in Chicago on the Presidential Scholarship in Classical Guitar Performance, there were days when I considered ending my relationship with guitar. But, I stayed with guitar. With dedication to our relationship and a lot of work, we are still together and happier than ever. And, here to help you work on your relationship with your guitar.

Ada is wonderful! I took lessons with her for a while and I thought her teaching style was great. I felt like I learned a lot from her in a short time. I had to quit piano for a while as I'm too busy but when my kids get older I want to start up with her again. Currently my 5 year old daughter takes piano from her and loves her. Ada is a great combination of very kind, but also disciplined. My daughter looks forward to her lessons with Ada every week! I would recommend her highly!

My son has been taking lessons from Mrs Ada for two years. We really appreciate how she helps him excel and inspires him to do a piece well. He has also enjoyed the many opportunities to perform publicly. I would recommend Mrs Ada.

My daughter is 14yr old and is passionate about music. Finding Mrs. Ignatov has been a blessing. In the past year and a half, my daughter's technique (bowing, phrasing, intonation) has improved vastly under her instruction.
She cares about her students and wants them to achieve their goals/dreams. My daughter made the CYSO's Philharmonic Orchestra in her first year of auditioning, all thanks to the guidance of Mrs. Ignatov and her attentiveness to details!
If you or your child love music and wish to achieve your full potential, Mrs. Ignatov will help you get there.

I am looking to teach beginner to intermediate students and help them learn/perfect the basic and intermediate skills of guitar and piano.

Enjoyed the first lesson a lot! We spent time going over basic open chords, different ways to finger them and then we worked on transitioning between them. Michael was very patient and encouraging. We also touched on some basic music theory... really ooking forward to the upcoming lessons!

About Alessandro

Hi, my name is Alessandro. I am a clarinet teacher and musician in the Chicago area. I have a Masters Degree in Music Performance from DePaul University School of Music and I have been teaching lessons since 2015. I can teach students at all levels of ability. As a freelance musician I have performed with the Chicago Clarinet Ensemble, The Chicago Composers Forum, Wheaton Municpal Band and other ensembles. I am also called upon to perform original works by young composers t composer forums.

I think there are two important parts of taking clarinet lessons: learning the fundamentals, and having lots of fun. I focus on basics like embouchure, air, and tone to help you develop good technique. I will also work with you to select music that you like and that you will be excited to play. I look forward to meeting you and working wit

h you!

About Dana

I have been playing the piano for 31 years and the flute for 29....these are still some of my favorite hobbies. As early as elementary school, I was privileged to participate in numerous masterclasses, recitals, and state and national competitions. In high school and college, I began accompanying for choirs, instrumentalists, and vocalists. In addition to teaching lessons and playing for my own relaxation and pleasure, I have thoroughly enjoyed using my skills in my local church for the past 15 years as a church and choir accompanist, as well as organizing and participating in flute ensembles. No matter what style you prefer to develop, it is always important to begin with a strong foundation in music theory and proper technique, which is where I begin every student. My preferred piano curriculum are the Bastien Piano Series, Faber Piano

Adventures, and Faber Disney. From there, we will explore all kinds of other fun stuff!

"This is it!

I've been taking lessons with Radina for a few months and I'm super happy with the progress I've made so far. I didn't know anything about he
ad voice, chest voice, mix and now it's all starting to make sense. I'm not afraid to sing higher notes which I always wanted to be able to do!

Radina is a highly professional and nice teacher, she really understands what is going on in a singers voice and mind and she hears everything.

I always look forward to my next lesson :)"

"Great teacher!

I have been taking flamenco guitar lessons with Jaxon for a few months now. I am a beginner to flamenco, and had some technique challenges
up front. He is amazing on guitar, and is able to watch my techniques and find the sticking points. It feels good to know that I'm getting it right early on, so that I don't develop bad habits. Highly recommend him."
