My lessons are structured in a way that allows students to work on multiple techniques and apply them to the songs they love! My students have a solid list of warm ups that they can use to strengthen their technique. I have experience teaching multiple genres ranging from musical theatre to pop/rock, and I teach legit singing as well as belting. My background in musical theatre and opera performance has given me the experience needed to apply what I've learned to my lessons. I have a Bachelor of Music in Music Theatre from James Madison University, where I taught lessons and studied vocal pedagogy. I have used what I learned in college to teach voice lessons for the past four years in New York City.

Ms Teresa is awesome! She has taught my daughter how to play both Piano and guitar. I love that she actually teaches the music and explains things not just how to play the song!

I started trying to teach myself piano until I met Ms. Arth. On the very FIRST lesson she pointed out some bad habits and quickly resolved them. This allowed me to reevaluate my technique and iron out the basics. I plan on continuing my studies with Ms.Arth and I highly recommend her for any student beginner or advanced. Totally 💯 satisfied!!!!

Teresa has been amazing helping Lily learning piano. Her self esteem has grown so much. I love that the students learn multiple instruments.

"Ben has helped me tremendously over just a few lessons. Everything I thought I was supposed to do in order to sing properly was pretty much wrong. He is able to explain techniques very clearly in order for me to improve my singing voice. It has not been easy for me but he is very patient as well as demanding in order for me to reach my full potential. I have and will continue to recommend him to anybody looking to improve their voice. Excellent instructor!"

"I have been taking online trumpet lessons with Vinnie for years now. I have also studied in person with Vinnie, and played in Vinnie's band. I feel so lucky to be able to take lessons from one of the best trumpet players in the world. Vinnie has helped me progress in many areas including jazz improvisation. Vinnie has a warm personality and is very patient. In my 50 years of playing trumpet, Vinnie is by far the best teacher I have ever had. Vinnie plays so well, and performs in so many places all over the world, I can't even begin to describe his personal talent. However, on a personal level, he is easy to relate to and study with. Robert was very courteous, patient and professional from the beginning. I've never sung before - other than in church (and that doesn't count) - so Robert had a huge task ahead of him. He helped me to the point where I'm confident in my future project - - and I will always be forever grateful. I highly recommend him. In fact - he was the ultimate instructor and teacher."

"If you are looking for an excellent teacher that can help you develop both technique and musicality, I highly recommend Zhana.

I have had the privilege of studying with her for seven months as an adult beginner, and I have learned so much. I come out of every lesson feeling like I’ve made progress—even when I am unhappy with how I am playing, Zhana helps me understand a key thing that I need to do to play better. She is able to explain things so that you don’t just conceptually understand, but so that your body can understand too (for all those times that your brain knows what you need to do but your finger/wrist/arm/etc. won’t cooperate).

Because she has played as a professional performer, Zhana draws on her experience to guide you to bring musicality and emotion to whatever you’re playing… even if you’re still in the early Suzuki books like me. I’ve studied with many teachers in the past (in school and privately) for piano, clarinet and voice lessons, so I know that the ability to teach across this broad spectrum of skills is rare.

Zhana isn’t just a great teacher, she is also a wonderful person. I am moving out of the city for a year, but I fully intend to continue lessons with her when I return!"
