I teach Acting through method, Meisner, Stanislavski, and I help write and create a repertoire appropriate for the actor or find monologues and scripts easier for the actor to study.

Ali has had music in her life since she was in the crib. She has performed professionally in the musical theatre world and she has studied in several universities for Musical Theater, Jazz, Pop, Blues, and R&B. Since the age of sixteen, she has been selected to sing as a guest soloist for venues such as Spivey Hall, Georgia World Congress Center, and Georgia Tech Hotel Conference Center. Ali has also sung for many movies and recordings, and recently recorded a demo for David Foster, Barbra Streisand, and Andrea Bocelli and recently toured as a pianist for "The Women of Ireland." Ali is also known for playing piano. She received her minor in Piano Performance within a year at Shorter College under Helen Ramsaur. She has been playing since she was five years old and has accompanied many people and musical productions.

Linda Eder, Aretha Franklin, Jennifer Hudson, Lena Horne, Judy Garland, Whitney Houston, Billie Holliday, and Lara Fabian, Barbra Streisand

*** Lesson Details ***
Ali loves to share her passion of music to the world and especially through her students. She loves to share new ideas and nuances along with the basics and fundamentals of technique. Although practice can be boring for the student, asking a student to pick at least one song to work on can help the student and the teacher have fun and learn at the same time. After a few months, not only will her students have fun, but they will learn how to be a better person and musician.

*** Studio Equipment ***
Home Studio: Baby Grand Piano, Living room, Stands, metronome

*** Travel Equipment ***
Just the music I assign and their appropriate instrument

*** Specialties ***
For Acting: Meisner

My technique for teaching acting focuses on script and a character analysis to help the student better embody the character by understanding their motives, psychology, and worldview.

Professionally, acting has taken a backseat to my music work, but I've studied the craft extensively and enjoy imparting the knowledge. I would recommend my instruction in this area for someone who is approaching the craft for the first time.

About Jordan
Thank you for taking the time to view my profile- I look forward to helping you achieve your musical goals. I'm excited to announce that I'm now available to teach via Online if you're outside of my teaching radius or are seeking a more convenient alternative.

I'm a professional guitarist with a background in jazz, heavy metal, blues, classical, and bossa nova. In 2006 I graduated from the Berklee College of Music and am lead guitarist for the Atlanta band Axis of Empires.

Whether you are a beginning guitarist or a seasoned professional, I can expand and enhance your playing in any direction you choose. I look forward to getting to know you as a student and learning about what course of study will bring out not only your understanding of music but a musical style that is unique to you.

Having a long time love of all music I hav
e always enjoyed discussing music and educating others on its many aspects. As such I began teaching during summers home from Berklee and found that it was something I had a great deal of talent for. Now, with seven years of teaching experience behind me, I look forward to bringing my skills and insights to students of all ages and bring not only ability on the guitar but a greater love of music to a fresh crop of open minds!!

In addition to guitar, I am also qualified to teach voice, public speaking, dramatic acting, and all aspects of music theory, the latter of which I incorporate into all of my music lessons.

A FEW THINGS TO BE AWARE OF:

1. I am able to take lessons in your home or over Skype. I am no longer accepting lessons in my home.

2. Please only pick one teacher. I don't know why people do this but on more than one occasion I've had students come to me and say "I'm doing lessons with you and this other guy. I figure I can learn different things from both of you." You only need one teacher- if that's not me, I understand.

3. I will NOT remove you as a client on Takelessons so that I can take money under the table from you directly. Sometimes clients will say "the lessons on Takelessons are expensive- is there any way I can just pay you directly?" No, you may not. The amount you are paying is MY specified fee from which Takelessons takes a commission so paying me directly would not save you money. Furthermore, I have a binding agreement with Takelessons not to do this. If you press me on this matter I will discontinue your lessons altogether.

4. Similarly, if you are coming to my profile on Takelessons do not contact me on Facebook, Twitter, or any other social media attempting to circumvent Takelessons. Please book through Takelessons and I will be happy to address any questions you may have.

*** Lesson Details ***
Although I follow a specific lesson plan, its important to customize that to each student's skill level and specific needs. Thus, I will spend the first lesson evaluating where the student is in terms of overall musical awareness, existing skill on the instrument, and long term interest.

By the end of the first month, my beginning students will be able to perform basic chromatic and major scales, name the notes on the instrument, and have command of a few basic chords. With these core concepts and regular, committed practice, they will be able to learn and perform songs in a wide variety of styles after 3 to 6 months have passed.

My more advanced students will have a lesson plan customized to their specific goals and desires. In 3 to 6 months with such a student I will have them well on the path to accomplishing their long term goals, whether those be playing, composition, harmonic awareness, understanding of theory, or all of the above.

*** Studio Equipment ***
dedicated music room; cables/amps; electric & acoustic guitars; keyboard

*** Travel Equipment ***
Electric or acoustic guitar as needed.

*** Specialties ***
Having graduated from the Berklee College of Music, I follow their approach in educating the student. In this regard I teach music theory along with the physical act of playing the guitar, which serves to not only enrich the experience for the student but demonstrate how what they are learning is applied to music on the whole.

I am fluent in many genres and specialize in rock, jazz, the blues, and various fusion genres. Because music functions off of the same principles regardless of genre, I can take whatever style the student might best appreciate and structure my lesson plan around it.

Jordan is very knowledgeable and a good teacher. You can find good guitar players that will show you how to play guitar, but Jordan is much more than that and can instruct even veteran players on how to improve their play.

Great Instruction for all levels

I am in my mid-thirties and have never had any formal musical instruction until I started taking lessons with Jordan a few months ago. I was a little nervous about starting the lessons, but Jordan made me very comfortable right away. You definitely can tell he knows music inside and out. He is also very helpful about incorporating just enough music theory into each lesson, so I can expand my knowledge of theory, but not so much that I get overwhelmed. I would definitely recommend Jordan to anyone looking for a great vocal or guitar instructor.

About Maria
MISSION STATEMENT:

The mission of my studio is to create well-rounded, educated musicians who will always have a lifelong passion for the art no matter their long-term goals. I strive for my students to be:

(1) Lifelong learners who develop successful learning habits.
(2) Creative and critical thinkers who will become effective communicators.
(3) Responsible and respectful members of society who respect other cultures.
(4) Able to set short-term and long-term goals and be able to see them through to their success.

TEACHING PHILOSOPHY:

It is of the utmost importance that my students are well-educated in their chosen instrument; they must know and understand music and music-making. Students who can play are a dime a dozen, but students who understand the music they are playing are often hard to find. I teach students to kno
w music thoroughly, not just to “play.” I desire my students to comprehend elements of the score, to use their bodies effectively to make good sound, and to interpret music creatively and according to historical performance practices across all genres of music. Thus, I give students a purposeful education in technique, quality literature, performance and artistry, music theory, and music history.

Although students differ in ability and development, I maintain high expectations for our students. I expect attention and respect in lessons, faithful and diligent practice, careful adherence to instructions, and an “I’ll-do-my-best” attitude. If students regularly meet these expectations, then they will excel to the level that they are able. It is my joy to help students master their music, to do the best they can, and to strive for and achieve excellence.

Lastly, I want students to enjoy and appreciate their instrument, music, and music-making; and I know as as a teacher, I am very influential in making this happen. Students develop enjoyment of music by understanding music, experiencing success in music, being exposed to good and varied genres of music, and receiving instruction from a teacher who is enthusiastic and encouraging. It is my goal to provide all of these opportunities for students, and as a result their lives will be enriched as they enjoy their instrument.

Michelle Seabreeze is a phenomenal Teacher and most importantly great person. Her classes and teaching styles are fun with her hilarious and peppy personality. she taught me the different elements of hip which are: Breaking, Popping, Locking, House, And Straight Hip Hop. If your having trouble picking up a movement she uses a funny technique called super slow motion. Seabreeze creates a safe, fun, and comfortable environment to learn in.

I took Michelle's Hip Hop classes and i was amazed by her energy and how friendly she was. She taught me several style of Hip Hop as in Break Dancing, Popping, Locking, Isolations, House, Old School, Vougue etc etc. She is an amazing woman with many talents and personalities (but in a great way). I learned so much from her and trust me i will be taking future classes from her to learn even more. There was never a dole moment in her classes from beginning ( the stretch and warm ups) to the end (freestyle groove if we were lucky enough). I give her classes five stars because of how much fun i had and how much i've learned. Keep up the great work Michelle!

I am a graduate of the Atlantic School of Acting in New York, founded by David Mamet and William H. Macy. I am trained in their technique called Practical Aesthetics. I have a great deal of knowledge on how to select the best monologues and prepare for auditions. I am an excellent director and can help you find the intention, obstacle, and action of every line. If you don't know what any of that means, I can help you learn all about that, too! I can assist you with script analysis and how to listen and react to your partner. I can assist you with overcoming stage fright and audition anxiety. I can provide you with voice and speech skills to help you open up and enunciate more clearly. I also have a degree in psychology, a subject that informs acting and helps me be an understanding, supportive coach. Whatever your needs are, whether you are just beginning or are more advanced, we can make great breakthroughs together.

About Felicia
Hi there! I am a New York City actor and acting coach based in Queens. I love helping students develop their own unique acting technique. My approach to acting is that there is no one right approach. It's all about what works for you and I am here to help you discover your own method. Having studied at the Atlantic Acting School in New York, I am well versed in a technique called Practical Aesthetics. I studied under some really brilliant minds at that school, and I can share their knowledge and skills with you. I also have experience teaching techniques from many of the greats: Meisner, Uta Hagen, Stella Adler, Lee Strasberg, and of course, Stanislavksi. Prior to attending the Atlantic, I got my Bachelor's degree in Psychology.

Whether you are a beginner who wants to start learning about acting or you need to prepare for auditions or
you need help analyzing a script or you just want to hone your craft with me, I'm happy to help. I provide emotional support, too, because all actors can use that. This is not an easy business.

I have many years of experience working with young children, so if you are a parent of a child who is interested in starting out in acting, you can rest assured that I will teach him or her with great care. Kids make the greatest performers!

For me, teaching is the best way that I keep my own acting skills sharp, and nothing gives me greater joy than seeing my students make breakthroughs. Above all, the work we do is a lot of fun, and I look forward to working with you!

My one-on-one coaching sessions are great if you are just starting out, preparing for an audition, or just want to fine-tune your skills. My goal is to give you the personal attention, acting techniques and career guidance you need to reach your full potential as an actor. We will get to the core of each song or monologue, working on technique and performance, allowing you to feel relaxed and confident as a performer.

About Michael
One-to-One Acting & Voice Lessons with a Concierge Approach.

With a background of over 12 years in classical vocal and acting practice, coupled with a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree from Belmont University, I am uniquely positioned to train students of all ages, backgrounds, and genres.

Unlike most studios, my approach focuses on the true artist development—through a consultative, one-to-one methodology. Because I understand that each artist has a different set of goals and desires—each lesson is tailor-made to fit the needs of that student.

By developing closely-knit relationships with each of my students, I am able to execute bespoke plans that focus specifically on your needs and goals rather than a typical, "one size fits all" program

In 2015, I graduated from Belmont University with a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Musical The
atre.

In May of 2015, I signed on to the Daniel Hoff Agency in New York City. Shortly after, I began working for Disney Cruise Lines as a MainStage performer until this past September (2016).

My passion for the arts goes well beyond the stage & I'm actively pursuing a film career here in Atlanta, GA. I have taught voice & acting since 2013 - including many workshops & masterclasses in Houston, Nashville, & New York

It is my belief that finding & developing your inner artist, follows sincere passion for your craft. It is this very passion for which I'm driven to develop my students' voice & acting abilities as they continue to grow.

Honestly the BEST!! I was able to purchase 10 lessons with Michael as a birthday present. I love broadway singing and am self-taught. I had basically reached the end of what I could do myself, and these lessons were incredibly helpful. I had a major breakthrough and have never been happier with my voice. It can be nerve racking singing in front of someone, but he makes you feel comfortable and enables you to have fun and look forward to your lessons. Work with a working actor! With over 40 years of film, TV, Theatre and Commercial work. Working with some top name director, producers and actors on film and TV projects. I am able to work with you online to prepare for that big "in person" audition or call back or to assist you for the best taped audition you will send in via the web. I have been teaching on camera and cold reading technique for years and coach and run my own self taping business located in Sandy Springs, GA as well. Break a leg!

About JAMES
Hello and congrats on taking this big step. I have been acting since I was 15 years old. A theatre major in HS and College doing Theatre, Film, TV, Industrials and Commercials. I even got my first agent when I was only 15 years old, booking my first 1 liner speaking role on the "who shot JR" episode of Dallas in 1980.

I have worked with and interned with some of the biggest Casting Directors, Directors and Producers in CA, TX, and GA. Learning the Do's and Don'ts in the business and for acting, auditioning and taping.

I work from a "real' actor stand point, but certainly believe in the Method and Technique when they are needed, so those are also taught. But remember, they are hiring you, so that is where the character's life begins!

I also had a real life and was a police officer for 30 years while I continued to act.
Now that I am r
etired I spend my days acting, teaching and coaching actors for self tape and "in person" auditions online or out of my house in the Atlanta Metro Area.

Thank you for giving me this opportunity to help you to move your career to that next level.

Break a leg!

This course is designed for students who want to study acting through the lens of the text. Designed for beginners and early level actors, we analyze the script for clues left by the writer and apply them to our performances. What is the difference between a beat and a pause? A pause and silence? How do we treat ellipses, commas, and periods? We also look at how the director might interpret and influence the performance as well as differences in performing for theatre versus film.

This class is geared toward the individual, and students may elect to use our time to prepare a monologue for auditions or practice a scene for class in addition to the above lessons.

My lessons stem from the successful work done at my theatre company, which focuses on partnering with student actors to provide them with professional experience as well as exposing them to directing and acting techniques that may be different from what they previously encountered.
