I like to show my students how the guitar can be a small orchestra. The possibilities of sounds and colors that it can provide is unknown to other instruments and that is what makes it so great. Unlike the piano where a small hammer hits the strings or the violin where the bow frictions them, we have to produce the entire sound on the guitar with our own hands. The process is more personal and, even though it can be harsh at times, it is always satisfying. I also try to bring a more creative part of music when studying the instrument, which keeps classes more dynamic and interesting. I bring my own experiences so that the students can relate in different levels of difficulty.
I'm a professional guitarist, composer and arranger. I graduated from Berklee College of Music with a Diploma in Professional Music. I started playing electric guitar and then expanded also to the classical guitar, which has broaden extensively my approach to different styles of music. Each styl

Hey there! I offer flute lessons in my home studio in Louisville, KY and online. I have a Bachelor's Degree in Music Education, am a certified music teacher, and have been teaching flute lessons for four years.
I quickly learned at a young age that I love the flute and have had amazing experiences since then that have shown me how to perform joyfully and confidently.
I know what it's like to:
--lack confidence in your playing (especially if other humans are around).
--feel the pressure of needing to "look good" and impress others all the time (all-state band, anyone?).
--become overwhelmed by comparison and perfectionism.
--feel like you'd rather do ANYTHING but practice the flute (procrastinators - I got you).
I know because I've been there.
And I know it doesn't have to be this way!
As a flutist and music educator, I have the joy of wearing many hats as a private flute teacher and sectional coach. My experience with little ones all the way up to pre-college flutists allows ...

Singing for the fun of it!
Have you always wanted to sing but somehow an inner voice said "But you cannot sing"? Well, it's time to challenge that inner voice because it's never too late. Taking a voice lesson is a great tool to break through those invisible barriers and to discover one's voice. Singing for fun is a valid reason to take voice lessons, it would help make singing more enjoyable!
We will cover how to warm-up the voice as well as the mind and the body. You will learn body stretches to get the body ready for singing, proper breathing and support for singing, and of course, you'll learn to sing songs that you want to sing.
A little about me, I have always loved singing but I did not take voice lessons until my late 30's and it changed my life. So I know a thing or two about learning to sing later in life, it can be daunting but it is oh so rewarding! In 2011, I started gigging in San Francisco where I lived for the last 14 years. I am now back living in New York and I'd

Francesca will push and guide you as far as you need to go, but only if she knows that's your goal. She routinely checks-in to make sure we are progressing in the right direction and is a great person for suggestions (with no pressure) and to bounce new ideas off of. She is realistic, but allows you to dream-up the life you want, in regards to music. She is a God send and I am so thankful I found her as a coach.
Francesca is an amazing find and I cannot wait to see where my coaching journey leads into the world of music and performing!"

Many people later in life regret not playing an instrument. But it's never too late to learn! Even just learning a few notes on the piano is an excellent place to start. There's nothing quite like the feeling of making a beautiful noise come from such an elegant instrument as the piano. And the piano is one of the few instruments that requires only a little bit of learning in order to produce music. So when you first start, remember that you don't need to stress about mastering the whole ins …

If you're new to singing, or if you're just trying to fine-tune your vocal skills, one fun and helpful exercise is to sing duet songs with your vocal instructor or a friend. Pick a style you both like and you'll find that the possibilities for both fun and music making are endless! Why Are They Helpful to Sing? When you sing with piano, or with a chorus or band, there's often someone else playing the same line you're singing. While this is great for learning to sing in tune and working on …
