I teach the very beginner to the very advanced levels. combining piano technique with music theory and some history and analysis of western music so the student will understand what he's doing and be able to interpret in the right style of the music he's playing.

About Berthe

My name is Berthe ( pronounced Bert). At the age of 4, I began taking piano lessons. By age 8, I was performing for the first time at the Assembly Hall of the American University of Beirut. In 1978, I attended the Faculty of Music of the Holy Spirit University of Kaslik/Lebanon, where I comple

I'm a professional composer and Berklee graduate, but the piano is not my main instrument. I was trying to teach myself on piano, and it was not working. I was practicing but was not progressing. I needed a clear method and someone who knew how to teach proper technique. Berthe provided a strong methodology and showed me all of the subtle technique fixes I needed to get my playing up to speed. I've had many "ah-ha" moments when taking lessons from Berthe. She plays beautifully and teaches in a way that only very experienced teachers can. I highly recommend her for learning to play baroque, classical/contemporary, and romantic music with the bonus of receiving a deeper understanding of the history and theory behind the music.

I have been playing piano for over 60 years and Berthe is the best teacher I ever had. She teaches how to play beautiful pieces with the proper technique with patience and encouragement, while ensuring you are playing correctly. When you get it right she is lavish with her praise. I love to practice and look forward to the lesson every week.

Hi! Music is my life and passion. I believe I was born to play drums and want to give my musical knowledge to as many people as I can.
Whether you want to learn how to play from scratch, get back into it after taking time off or anything in between I will show you what to do and how to do it correctly and musically keeping it fun and challenging. Reading rhythms from snare drum to full kit and even treble and bass clef. I have you covered.. I've owned and operated my own school of rock for almost 2 decades, and can teach anyone how to play. I am also a professional guitarist and bassist, so when you get to a certain level we can (and will) jam to your favorite songs. I can guide and consult you on the right gear to buy for your best progress and budget. Let's do this, I’m ready to rock!

About Sandi

I am a lifelong musician, originally self-taught on several instruments including drums/ percussion (primary) electric lead and acoustic guitar, 4 and 5 string bass, ukulele, piano/ keys, and voice. I am a recording artist and have released several eps singles and albums. I played all bands in high

Sandi's a great drum teacher and is specifically great at connecting young burgeoning musicians and having them learn to play well together. This was especially important for me in helping me be comfortable playing in band settings which was and is the most important aspect of being a musician for me.
Emily
I just started taking lessons with Sandi this week. She was great and made it lots of fun! She made sure to gauge my skill level before I arrived, and prepared a fun first lesson for me. She is really skilled at telling how much challenge to give a student, which makes it fun for the student but also makes you want to practice and come back to learn more! Sandi is laid back, very approachable and super friendly. She’s a wealth of information on music, equipment, and even is helpful with booking classes through the website!
Kristen
This is my Second attempt at learning guitar - my first attempt with a different teacher ended before I could strum a song. Sandi’s teaching style makes learning guitar enjoyable. She teaches chords and songs and introduces music theory as you progress. Sandi also provides the encouragement needed to keep practicing even if you think you’ll never get there.

Hello!

I have over 10 years of musical experience playing the violin, and other instruments. I also have over 3 years of experience working with children ages 4-12. I have the ability to work with all ages.

My interest is in the student. I am interested in tailoring lessons to the goals and desires of each student. I specialize in students starting out and getting their feet wet in the music world. I believe in setting goals and achieving them in a way that works best for my students.

About Chelsea

Welcome everyone! I have a few beliefs: I believe that everyone should know how to play an instrument. Whether it is violin, ukulele, piano, their voice, whatever! Music is a part of what makes us human, and is important for personal development. I believe that no one is "too old" to star

He made it fun and easy to learn and covered many different styles. Other instructors/schools that I've worked with are really geared towards casual learners, but Mike covers the whole spectrum.

5/5 Highly recommended! Mike taught me years ago and he gave me the confidence I couldn't manage to find on my own! I'm no spring chicken, but I really wanted to groove on the drums and I found the best instructor out there!
Tyler
Mike is the best teacher I've had and made learning a fun and productive experience. After a few lessons at my local music store I wasn't sure I'd continue my pursuit of drumming, but after meeting with Mike thanks to a friends referral I'm happy to say I've gone from a shy learner to a confident musician that actively plays with a band.

A godsend. Matt is super approachable and got me launched back into playing in a meaningful way. Widely knowledgeable, he never missed a beat and was able to help with everything from details of technique to overall approach, and successfully introduce new and challenging music. When it came time to learn recording he was always ready a couple steps ahead to show efficient ways to get things done.

Matthew helped me work on pop and bossa nova songs for guitar. He is a patient and easy-going teacher who helped me at my own pace. We went over finger style techniques and rhythmic exercises. I have been enjoying lessons and I look forward to studying more with him.

Matt is great! He is very patient and explains things step-by-step in a very comprehensive and easy to understand manner. And best of all, he never makes you feel like any questions you ask, is irrelevant or repetitious. I highly recommend Matt, and plan on continuing to take lessons from him in the future!!

"My 10 year old son had been taking face to face weekly lessons in a local academy prior to his first online lesson with Margaret. She made my son feel comfortable and she took a very "hands on" approach in learning where my son was at in terms of skills and knowledge and getting right to work. Margaret was open to teaching songs my son likes to play in addition to those in the workbook. Overall, a great first lesson!"

Other defining attributes are his patience and willingness to teach. Vince will never look at the clock or feel like he is doing you a favor when he is teaching you something challenging. What sets him apart from a lot of other music teachers I have had is that he focuses on what YOU want to learn. He takes in account your current skill level and incorporates the necessary practice regiments that will help you improve while still keeping it fun and engaging.

It is also awesome that he provides band lessons. Learning to play with others is an integral part of learning and enjoying music. I wish such a thing was available back when I was first learning how to play an instrument."
