Mike is the best teacher I've had and made learning a fun and productive experience. After a few lessons at my local music store I wasn't sure I'd continue my pursuit of drumming, but after meeting with Mike thanks to a friends referral I'm happy to say I've gone from a shy learner to a confident musician that actively plays with a band.
Nadine
Mike is an awesome teacher. He was really flexible with our schedule, and helped both of us starting at different skill levels and goals. He is well worth the money if you are serious about wanting to become a better drummer!

have been playing the Cello for about 9 years. I began in my home country of Chile when I was in the 2nd grade. My father is a composer and renown musician so music has been a part of my life since day one. I recently began a music career as an artist, as a result I now have music on iTunes, Google Play, Spotify, Pandora, Amazon and other music stores. I began teaching about 7 years ago.

I pride myself in making my students succeed, I’ve had students start taking lessons with me starting in the lowest orchestra and after some months they are in the top orchestra and in a couple of occasions they were also first chair. I love children and I also like getting the best out of people, I’ve had student much older than me and they, to this day, still thank me for helping them reach their goals.

Music Theory is the Core of Understanding how ALL Music works anywhere in the world and applies to all Instruments. It's the insight into why we use certain Notes, Chords, & Scales and what makes them work. To have the knowledge is to be a Musician, which is to Understand that when writing a Song, or Improvising all thinks can work as long as you can make it work. It's the Musician who can figure out why it works so he or she will know where to go or what to play.

Great at making sure you understand the basics of music theory before proceeding to the instrument itself. Helping me become a more confident and smarter musician.
Francine D.
I've taken lessons before and have always become disappointed because there was never any structure to the lessons and theory was treated as secondary. I wanted to really delve into theory because that is the knowledge needed to have no limits. Finally, I found Jimmy. He is a true teacher. Jimmy makes sure he teaches you the theory behind what you are doing. I have been playing for over ten years and was not progressing. After just a few lessons with him, I am starting to truly see the fretboard. I am finally excited again!

"You would be hard pressed to find a teacher as dedicated to his craft and teaching than Frankie. As a beginner he understood the challenges and frustrations of a newbie guitar player. He was always patient and quick to point out progress. He starts with the basics and builds on that knowledge so you know both theory and technique. Every week brings a new challenge to improve, expand and grow. All with Frankie’s wonderful guidance."

"I took piano lessons from Adam. Unfortunately, I am no longer able to play the piano due to a serious shoulder injury. I took piano for a number of years as a child and also later as an adult. Adam is by far and away the best teacher I have had. The main strength he has is teaching you how to practice. In retrospect, it seems odd that none of my previous teachers had taught me these skills. It made my practices more efficient. Adam is also a delightful person to be around!"

"Having studied with Brian Lam for over 3 years now, I have learned much more about music theory and piano performance than previous teachers. Brian is very hospitable towards his students and not only wants them to succeed in music but in their academic careers as well. He is also very lenient and rarely irritates over any inconveniences with those he teaches. Even with his leniency, he is able to have students pass ABRSM examinations with the highest marks and perform piano recitals in well known locations. Although I studied with Brian for only a few years, I appreciate every class that I've had with him."

"When I first started taking singing lessons with Jordan a year ago, I was an absolute novice whose singing experience was limited to my car and the shower. I've learned so much from her in that time. With her help, my vocal range has expanded, my tone and control have improved, and my understanding of music has deepened. Jordan does an amazing job of learning her student's voices and tailoring her lessons to each individual. In our lessons, she goes beyond teaching the mere mechanics, and has really helped me interpret songs and find meaning in what I'm singing. I come out of each lesson newly inspired to continue working. Her instruction and guidance have truly helped me discover my newfound passion in life."
