I have teaching art since 2011. Unique to my personal experience, I have several years experience working as an ABA therapist in clinic, client homes, and in public setting. In addition, I have worked from early childhood through high school in public schools in various diverse communities.

As a current MFA student in my second residency, I am up to date with the current social emotional learning needs of students, contemporary artworks, and critical theory.

I earned my Bachelors of studio arts at University of Houston where I minored in Art History in 2017.

I am considered an interdisciplinary artist, preferring to work in a variety of mediums.

Oil paintings have been regarded as one of the most beautiful art forms throughout history. To paint like one of the masters can seem out of reach, but anyone can paint with excellence! We will start at your current skill level, even if you've never even painted before. We'll learn color mixing, how to create depth, and different methods of layering paint to create different effects. Whether you would like to create a masterpiece, or would just like to paint some paintings for your friends and family, we can get there together! Hi! Are you frustrated with muddy and poor color choices in your paintings, the inaccurate drawing of your subject, and overall mediocrity? I will help you overcome the fear and frustration of painting with some sound color theory and drawing methods. You can learn to apply colors that are bold and fresh. As artists who continually learn, I believe there is no wrong in exploring colors, When we continue to paint, we learn what didn't work and apply what does work. That is how we improve! The more we practice in small steps and the greater our success!

Practicing Art teacher with over 15 years experience. Being a practicing art teacher means I practice what I preach! You can draw inspiration from my daily works and know that the skills and techniques I am teaching you will lead to a greater discipline in painting, drawing and conceptual works. I pride myself in connection and being able to know what to tweak and work on because I have been there myself, through self taught methods and a formal art education with my degree in fine art. I want my students to reach their artistic potential and aspirations while having a wonderful time!
