I am a 24 year old teacher. 7 months ago I came from Turkey. I performed the piano works of many important composers. I played many piano concerts at the university and master's degree. I have been teaching piano from children to adults for 5 years. I am a very active person during the lesson. The student's piano technique is a very important issue for me. During the lesson, we work with the works of many composers with the student.

Mr. G goes over and above to help me pursue my interests. He helped me sing through a difficult time while my voice was changing. He supports me at performances and never fails to make me laugh. Working with him has been a fantastic experience and I feel that I have grown so much.

I got in touch with Daniel so I could get back in singing shape as an adult who had lapsed - a lot! He's friendly, kind, and patient, with a clear way of explaining technique that's really helped me get it. I've improved noticeably in a short amount of time!

My mother is a Pianist so I grew up having lessons and playing the Piano. Any musician who would like to become more serious needs to be prolific in their Piano playing. I also use the Piano as a tool for ear training and visualizations for theory. I enjoy playing the Piano and use it as a way to relax when I am not playing my French horn. I love teaching Piano players of all ages!

About Beckie

Hi! My name is Beckie and I have played music for all of my life. I play and teach many different instruments such as the French horn, trumpet, piano, saxophone, mandolin, guitar, and voice. I have my Masters in Music on French horn as well as two bachelor degrees in music performance on Frenc

Outstanding instructor! Beckie is very positive and encouraging and my son has learned so much in just a few weeks. My son looks forward to his session each week. She is also an amazing musician herself and plays her instrument side by side with my son which allows him to hear and learn the individual notes.

I teach the basics: scales, sight reading, and note recognition. It all ties into theory, so the student will be getting a two for one. Learning piano is how many people begin to appreciate their love for music.

Piano was the instrument I ran to when I was tired of classical guitar in college. As a consequence, I develop a very special relationship with it. I've learned to use it as a vehicle for expressing music in a way that's more free than any instrument that I do. Things I teach on piano usually include...

-Basic technique: scale fingerings, finger mechanics, dynamic posture
-Music Learning: how the piano makes music easier than with any other instrument, and what is the most efficient way to learn music
-Improvisation: how to explore music freely using easy keyboard techniques
-Composition: how to find and discipline your creativity through exploratory piano exercises

About Jonathan

I studied music therapy and music theory at Temple University from '06-'10. Learned a lot. Then again, I learned even more teaching at a school for kids with learning disabilities and working as a traveling street performer. Once you see the world and work with some unexpected challenges, you learn

Jonathan is a true pro— So knowledgeable, responsive, passionate about music and creativity. His approach is kind and patient while still holding high expectations and helping our daughter realize she can do more than she thought. He has introduced us to many simple but effective learning strategies that we hadn’t heard of before. I am so grateful we found him. Highly recommend!!!

Howard is very caring and detailed oriented. He really knows how to inspire and encourage children to learn piano. He makes it challenging and fun!
Edward
Howard's approach is patient while at the same time he actually leads my son forward - not just listening to what he practiced that week. Howard does not make the weekly lesson a "test" but rather a session to work together and my son enjoys the lessons instead of worrying if he prepared enough.

We moved from Los Angeles so we chose to transition from lessons in Howard's house to weekly lessons online - it continues to work beautifully.

Howard can accommodate any style of student - I know because I took lessons from Howard myself until my work built up too much to continue.

I recommend Howard without any reservation.

"I love my lessons!

I started taking lessons with Dr. Honein 13 years ago. Throughout these years, I not only learned to strive for perfection in my craft but I learned some of the most valuable life lessons one could only learn through music. My lessons with Dr. Honein are always an exciting experience, because she keeps then fun and progressive. Because of piano lessons, I feel like I've acquired a good sense of discipline, punctuality, and determination. Playing the piano has become a mean for me to express my feelings through music. All in all, I love playing the piano. Dr. Honein is a brilliant scholar with so much knowledge and talent to share, and she is so much fun to be around. I'd like to also add that she is really funny, and accommodates her lessons to students of all ages, whether they are looking to learn how to play the piano just for fun, or professionally."

"I have been taking lessons with Randy L. for roughly a year and a half, and I still look forward to his class every week. I came to Randy simply wanting to accompany my own vocals with some basic piano. Since that first day, Randy has inspired me to write my own songs, arrange them, record them, and learn to accompany myself on my own work. Randy is not simply a piano instructor, his ear training method focuses on turning the student of music into an actual musician, not just a more proficient student of music. I recommend Randy L. to anyone interested in finding a voice for the music inside of themselves."
