About Milton
Hey there, everyone!

My name is Milton Carl Jackson II and I teach vocal, guitar, piano, and musical theatre lessons in the Inland Empire area.

I help those young, middle-aged, and not-as-young tap into their own soul through music so that they may help others find theirs as well. I believe that in order to entertain others with your voice or your instrument, one must first be able to entertain oneself - all the while having fun doing it! As a recent graduate of the University of California, Davis with a double major in Music History & Ethnomusicology and African-American & African Studies; a former co-host of the popular hip-hop radio show ATF Radio: All Things Fresh on KDVS 90.3 FM; a former Music Director of The Afterglow of UC Davis; and a recently graduate of the University of Redlands with a Master's in Music Education, I hav
e come in contact and learned from a vast amount of different musicians and professionals. A classically-trained bass-baritone with roots in R&B, Soul, Rock, Pop, and Jazz, I have aspirations to help each and every student realize their full musical potential.

If you're looking for a teacher who will motivate and inspire you not only to learn your instrument of choice, but also how to perform it (whether on the big stage or in your living room for the family) and record it as well, I'm the perfect teacher for you. Learning to sing, play, and act beautifully doesn't have to be difficult -- we'll work on finding your voice or your style, all while having fun along the way!

I teach in-studio, in-home, and online lessons, so we can be flexible with the lesson type and schedule!

This is a perfect chance for you or your child who can't stop singing around the house or has dreams of shredding on the guitar or twinkling on the ivories to learn the fundamentals of music, start something new that keeps them or you focused, and have fun while doing it!

Feel free to contact me at show contact info for any questions and check out my student reviews and qualifications.

I look forward to meeting you and accompanying you or your child on your musical journey!!

My musical journey has taken me to some interesting places, challenged and motivated me to keep growing as a musician and teacher.....It hasn't always been easy and the challenges I faced as a professional musician and educator provided the foundation for my Book "Techniques In Applied Theory". With students' goals as the focus, all elements of music are taught in relation to their likes and dislikes. There's a lesson behind every Song. I like to think of myself as a "Tour Guide", pointing out the highlights as we go. I have three jobs: imparting new information and the lesser mentioned "Trainer" and "Mentor". Not every student is the same nor do they have the same needs. In that respect it's a Custom Lesson Program designed to get them where they want to go.

5 stars for Vic. Vic is a talented, knowledgeable and patient teacher. I have been taking lessons from him for about 8 years. I have learned so much. I would have never been able to find this information on my own. He has coached me with guitar, keyboard, drums and theory. What I have learned has pushed my musical abilities forward and added confidence and a stronger desire to practice and push myself knowing "I can". Thanks Vic....I'll be around for 8 more years to take advantage of all you have to offer!

About Dakota
Hello my name is Dakota Daugherty and I am currently a full time student at the California State University of San Bernardino for saxophone performance. I have about 13 years of playing experience and will be pursuing music through graduate school. I have musically grown so much in the last few years and I realize that because music is so important to me, I want to help share it and keep it alive.

I want to help beginning and intermediate saxophone players who are interested in music learn it in a way that does not intimidate them. We grow best when we love what we do, so I want my students to enjoy each lesson so they can't wait to open their case again. At the same time our goal is to understand how to practice smart and be self-dependent learners.

I will help with whatever aspect of playing may need it, whether it is technique (bre
athing, articulation, fingers, embouchure), reading, theory, or even listening. I will also help with any specific music you might be working on, such as a piece for a performance or audition. I want to stress that our focus will depend on the goals and needs of each individual student. Further details can be discussed before or at the first lesson. I'm eager to teach so please don't hesitate to contact me. I am not selective to age either. If you are in the area and are in need of some instruction I am here for you!

About Laura
Hey Ya'll!
I'm Laura, and I grew up in a log cabin in Kentucky, no joke! My three sisters and I sang in the church where my Mama played organ, and our family had a bluegrass band. I learned piano at an early age from my Grandpa Joe, and played French Horn and Mellophone in Marching Band and Concert band through Middle school and High School. At the University of Kentucky I was in some of the best Collegiate choirs in the country, and thats also when I started playing in my own band.
I moved to Europe when I was 20, and started playing street music and performing locally. Well, that turned into me having my own variety show called the Southern Flavor Show, and touring quite a bit, all over Europe.
Now, I'm settled in Redlands CA, and work part-time in the Music Industry in Los Angeles at one of the worlds leading recording studios.
We record all kinds of music there, but my favorite music is and will always be the Bluegrass, Folk, and Country music that I grew up with. I'm excited about getting to share my love of music with you!
My main goal is for you to stay inspired and for this to be fun- music technique and practicing can be challenging, but we will find ways to keep you interested and motivated, by listening to lots of recorded music, and making sure you really love the songs you are learning.
I have a special focus on preparation for live performance and jam situations, based on years of practical experience. I know and can relate to performance anxiety, and know exactly how to get you or your child ready for a live performance, music video, or show. As they say, the show must go on, and it’s your time to shine!

I am on my second year as drum major. I have had experience as part of a wind ensemble, marching band, and soloist. Beside playing the flute, teaching is my passion. I am hoping to pursue a career as a music teacher. I've been teaching for two years, and my goal is to help other discover their passion for music as I have.
I try to make the learning process fun and enjoyable. I want my students to be motivated to learn and practice as much as possible. My teaching style consists of starting with the basics (technique, theory, and reading music) then graduating to style and phrasing. I want my students to always leave confident, rather than discouraged. Learning an instrument is hard work, but with enough effort and commitment, anything is possible!
